Received estimate from company to remove nail pops in roof vent & replace with screws due to a nail pop that was leaking water into attic. Ensured with work crew on 2/8/24 that nail pops would be removed and replaced with screws & they confirmed before & after work completed. Upon inspection of attic after crew left, the ***** nail pop that was leaking was NOT removed but rather caulked over & a s**** placed near it. Contacted company via ************ came out & inspected work but rather than fix it, they dropped $100 off the price paid. On 2/27/28 checked attic and rain is dripping from the ***** nail pop the company did not remove/replace. I'm disgusted with the waste of ********** I have to find someone else to fix it before additional damage is done to my home. If the company had no intent or knowledge of fixing a leaking nail pop they should have just left & I would not have wasted my time, *************** Now it's even worse than before because they caulked over the nail pop & the new company can not even see the nail that needs to be removed & replaced. Extra work, extra time, more roof damage. Do it correctly or don't do it at all. Now I'm stressed as we head into spring with a leaking roof that I have to try to prevent further water damage to my attic & ceiling while trying to schedule someone else to fix.
