I have purchased a vehicle. I had signed a document stating that I was paying the down payment on certain dates. ***** is holding my hard plates until I give a 1000 dollars. After I already dropped 2000. He told me if I cant give him another 1000 dollars I will not be able to get any tags. We both signed a document stating to have 1800 by November 30th. And he went back on what he said. I have proof of the signed contract. Another thing he has all my documents and never gave me a folder of any of signed documents neither any receipts. I have four babies. That need to get back and forth to school and as a single mother I have to work. He did not care if my car got towed due to not having tags. He is a lier and a scam artist. We signed a contract stating when the money will be given. He turnt back and said other wise. So again he isnt giving me tags until I give him another 1000 before my signed contract date.Business Response

On October 8th 2024 my mother and I purchased a car (2014 ******* ******* 2.0t) from mazari motors for a final price around ~$13000. Upon buying the car we were told it had a check engine light on due to aftermarket exhaust and that it was for an 02 sensor but that that was all that was wrong with the car. 3 days later on October 11th I attempted to drive the car up to ******** for a friends wedding. An hour and a half into the trip the oil sensor light came on and the car shuddered to a stop, it had lost all power. I had only gone a total of 210 miles after driving off the lot. I was able to contact triple an and get the car towed to a shop back down to ****** va where I live. The next day the shop (Kennys automotive) ran I diagnostic and told me the check engine light showed nothing about an 02 sensor but there were all kinds of codes relating to the oil pump and turbo issues, leading me to believe I was mislead about what the check engine light was for. Kennys was not able to do the repairs so I brought it to another shop they said could, Rollin Wheels. After their diagnostic they found all the same issues and Kennys but also that it has a bad timing change and an engine knock. I was in contact with the dealership through all of this and let them know what had happened and was told they would cover the cost. After a month of missed calls and no follow *** on emails they have still done nothing and the owner is now saying they are only willing to help us with a discount on repairs. When I showed up to the dealership today, November 1st I was avoided, shot nasty looks by the owner *****, and made to wait almost 2 hours before anyone would talk to me. At this point I am not interested in repairing the car, that is on them I would simply like my money back and to sign the car back to them. I simply cannot afford the repair cost, it would cost more than I paid for this car to get a new turbo, oil pump, and engine swap.Business Response

Mr. ****** test drove the vehicle on two occasions before purchasing the car. Both test drives were plenty of time for him to conduct a pre-purchase inspection on the vehicle. Upon completion of the test drives, ****** was elated about the car, the way it drove and how it handled. They need a few days to get the funds ready to which we said ok. ****** was fully aware that the vehicle had been lowered and had aftermarket parts on it to which he acknowledged was fine with him. On the day of purchase ****** and his mother looked over the car once more and proceeded to make the purchase. They were offered a Warranty to purchase of which they declined saying they will do more work on the car.
Several days later there were several calls from both ****** and ******** about the vehicle not running. They indicated that they will take the vehicle to a local shop to have it checked out. That was clearly their decision. We offered them an opportunity to have the vehicle checked out by one of the mechanic shops that we use since parts and labor would be considerably cheaper and initially they declined saying they would rather use shops closer to their residence. It is unfortunate that the vehicle is not in running condition at this moment but that is not the manner in which it was sold. This is a used car and anything can happen at any time after the sale, so it is important to make sure the maintenance is kept up and performed. We are not sure what happened after the sale of the vehicle, how it was driven
Regarding the statement of "After a month of missed calls and no follow *** on emails", we responded to the calls and the emails sent. I this that because the response was not what Mr. ******* and Ms. ****** was expecting, then it became an issue. In addition, Mr. ******* and Ms. ******* is seeking a full refund on a vehicle that they destroyed. We did not give them the vehicle in the condition that it's currently in.

I signed a finance contract on 6/25/23 for a black 2014 CLA 250 4 ****** ***** and I agreed on all repairs being completed example new front tires on the vehicle Prior to them delivering the car to my home on Friday, 7/7/23. On the date of 7/7/23 I received a call directly from *****. ***** then informed me that they ordered the incorrect lights for the vehicle replacement and needed to place a new order, eta 7/10/23. I informed ***** once the repairs were completed I was going to pay for diagnostic at ************************** to ensure there were no further safety issues with the vehicle prior to them, delivering it to me. On the evening of 7/10/23 ***** drop the car off to ********* The ******** tech explained to me that the front right rim was cracked and should not have passed inspection according to VA requirements. I asked him to provide me with a breakdown of his findings. I informed ***** verbally and via email. I also made the loan company aware as I was expected to pay my first installment on my loan on 7/25/23 and yet still did not have my vehicle since my signing the contract on 6/25/23. ***** requested a picture of the cracked rim. I did immediately. I have sent several emails with the updates from ******** and CC the loan company for their complaint following and have not had anything in writing back from *****. I just recently spoke to ***** around 12 PM on Thursday 7/13/23, and ***** refuses to order the part that is needed to ensure the vehicle safety for inspection. I have expressed to ************ have already approved to pull the remaining money out of my account, upon completion of the repairs via a credit card authorization form they have. After several minutes of ***** screaming at me on the phone he then hung up Im not sure of next steps. I have already put in over $1350 worth of service on the vehicle at ******** and may be out of that money as well as the **** I have already given the dealership towards a deposit. I have receipts to furnish.Business Response

Subject: Re: You have a new message from the Richmond BBB. Consumer complaint #********
To: Better Business Bureau <**********************************************>Mazari Motors have complied with the original request from ***************************** and ******** **** to replace the rim and pay for the cost of the battery holder on the ******** **** that she purchased from Mazari Motors. That total amount of those two items was deducted from the original down payment. She was happy and all was well. ***************************** did agree that upon payment for the rim and battery holder that she would remove the BBB complaint since her demand would have been met. Unfortunately, she did not keep her promise. In addition, she introduced a new complaint about a light that was not an issue when she originally inspected the vehicle at ******** **** (nor was it an issue from ********) and it was also never an issue or requirement from her as a contingency to remove the BBB Complaint.
So, it seems like there is a never ending game for us to restore her vehicle to brand new condition and even then the relentless complaints will continue. If she wanted a brand new car it is beyond logic why she would be purchasing a used one and expect it to be in brand new condition off the showroom floor.
