I inquired about purchasing a bike in early December and discussed the key terms of the deal, including financing, with the business Sales representative, ****. Upon travelling to & negotiating the deal's final terms with ****, and despite being left hanging around the shop for 5-6 hours, I was quoted a financing rate of ****% by Fredericksburg Moto Sports from its financing partner. Upon completing the credit application on that basis, the Finance representative, *****, listed another rate of over 10%. When queried about why the rate was more than 1% higher, both *****'s and ****'s attitude was nonchalant and dismissive, and it was viewed as the buyer's (my) problem. Had I been given the correct information before a hard inquiry was run, I may have chosen an alternative option. Both should be held to account and trained on how to communicate accurate rates to protect other consumers from credit score impacts. Following the financing rate discussion and my agreement to move forward (because I already had a hard inquiry), ***** expedited the application process and had me complete the DocuSign signature portion on her computer. That in itself was not an issue; however I requested during that discussion an electronic copy of all documents, including the financing documents and instructions on how to establish the relevant online account for payments. ***** agreed to do so & gave me some poor-quality printed copies of some documents. However I am missing several documents/instructions. Further, I am still awaiting details on how to establish a payment schedule related to the financing as I have not received any information - I have followed up multiple times with clear requests, and the business is simply not providing the information. I need details on the financing arrangement to set up auto payment to avoid any impact on the payment schedule or my credit. Overall the purchasing process was challenging; the financing was not professional or protective of consumers.

Attached please find documents that were signed by ******************** showing the
bill of sale of his purchase of his ***** CBR10RAN, the Retail Installment
Sales Contract.  Both of these documents show the full sale price of the
unit.  The retail installment contract also shows the interest rate that was
offered for a period of 60 months.

I hope this clears up this matter.

    Customer Answer

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The business did not address the substance of the complaint and misleading information preceding the final bill of sale- it is clear the business is not acting in good faith to present the facts nor address the matter. The primary request raised was to ensure adequate training to its staff to avoid any repeat issues and protec other consumers. From the response provided, it is clear that the business's priority is to simply gloss over the actions and issues related to its staff- other consumers should be weary and conduct full due diligence ahead of any potential transaction.

    Regards,
