I had a disappointing experience with Old Dominion Property Management. Throughout my time as a tenant, they were often unresponsive, making it difficult to address maintenance issues and other concerns in a timely manner. Communication was inconsistent, and I frequently had to follow up multiple times to get a response. Additionally, their handling of fees was unfair and lacked transparency. Charges were often unexplained or seemed excessive, and despite my best efforts to resolve disputes, they remained inflexible. When I tried to dispute it, I was met with intimidation, being told, "We talked to our lawyers, and we can do that." Instead of addressing concerns fairly, they chose to threaten legal action. Upon moving out, they kept my security deposit without providing a reasonable justification. Overall, my experience with this property management company was frustrating, and I would not recommend them to others looking for reliable and fair housing management.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand your frustration regarding the security deposit and the communication process, and we want to take a moment to clarify our position. We have made every effort to be responsive to your inquiries and concerns throughout your tenancy. As you know, we personally met with your father and shared detailed pictures of the damages to the unit. We are happy to share these 57 photos again. These images were provided to help you fully understand the reasons behind retaining part of the security deposit. We understand that you may be unhappy with the deductions, but please rest assured that they were necessary to cover the cost of repairing the damages. These charges are justified, as the damages to the unit were beyond normal wear and tear, and the photographs we provided clearly document the extent of the issues. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss this in more detail, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Thank you for your response and for sharing the photos. I understand the importance of maintaining the property, but I believe that the issues shown in the pictures fall under normal wear and tear, not excessive damage.Normal wear and tear happens naturally over time with regular use, and I don't believe the condition of the unit went beyond that. If possible, I would appreciate a more specific explanation of the charges and how they were determined. Additionally, if there are invoices or receipts for the repairs, I kindly request to see them for transparency. My goal is to resolve this matter fairly and ensure that the deductions accurately reflect any actual damages.  Regards, ***** ********
