The salesman at SP&H said he had two in stock, showed me the computer images, which looked ok. I purchased the kit for ******* (inc. tax). The salesman
Gave me the number of a local plumber that he recommended! I called the man and he came out,looked at the part and the tub then he told me the part wasn't made to fit the tub. I returned the part and told the salesman that I couldn't use the part and asked him to refund my Credit card. He said he could do that but it would take about 25 minutes???, I told him I had a short errand,and would come by his store shortly. Upon my return he gave me a receipt for my refund. Upon my return home,I realized the amount was incorrect.I called the store, but it had closed .the next day I went back to the store and told the salesman about the error.again I was told that it would take about 25 minutes , , the main store was in Yorktown. Only two people could approve my refund 100%. One was on vacation and the other was out to lunch (10:00am?) Finally I was told that the difference was for restocking fee! The item was about 10-15' behind the counter,the box was packed and taped and I watched him place it right back where he got it the first time. I sent a Email to the Yorktown ,explaining the transaction and never received a Reply.
I did contact my credit union and they put a hold on the **** Charged for stock fee. And through their efforts,they resolve my account and closed the matter.
If I had gone to the Big Box store,this would never have taken place.
I believe that Southern Plumbing & Heat was taking advantage of the Elderly,and inexperienced. They should be ASHAMED..one star rather leave none

The branch manager at that location tried to reach you via phone to resolve the issue, but could never reach you. We have addressed the issue with the employee on restocking fees. It is a standard practice to have a restocking fee on returned special ordered material. As you stated this product was not special ordered specifically for you. You should not have been charged the restocking fee.
In addressing the situation with the employee they did instruct you that this was a specialty type faucet, and highly recommended that you first have licensed plumber come out before purchasing. This step was to insure this is the correct faucet for your unique installation. You declined that advise and purchased without knowing for sure it would work. This would have saved you and the plumber multiple trips. We value our customers time and try to help supply their needs in the most efficient manor we can.
