1 starAfter sending this Dr **** called me to say we should go our seperate ways....still charged my insurane for office visit. Now later using My chart I asked a question does this procedure call for a disc be removed I didnt remember that specifically being covered in the discussion with the Doc. ***** H message me concerning my question that I would need to speak to Doc **** . I said for a co-pay. Now I commend ***** *. for attempts to generate revenue but I dont need an office visit and submittal to my insurance company , and copay for a question I can ask on my next visit? My issue is that ***** H ask me Can you come in 3-10-2025 at 2:30 pm ? this was 3-7-2025 4:37 p.m. which was Friday , I really dont appreciate ***** H CCMA taking upon herself to obligate me for an office visit to get a question answered that can be answered when I see the doctor again. Im sure I will see the doctor again before the procedure, ***** H CCMA did not take into consideration that I have a job, and policy states I have to give notice. I also mention in my message to her in my chart that Im concerned about the fact there was no plan developed to address the pain in my leg ( Pain is what brought me in ) until the procedure. Currently I walk with a limp and its id difficult to sit at work. And I also requested a call from the office Manager, but this may reach you before my chart message reaches her. Also, for reference please read my my chart messages to get context to all of this. I think that office fell short of personalizing treatment to each individual patient and offering the highest quality care for everyone.Review fromDo F

1 starI've seen them three times for a shoulder injury. Three Drs none helped, they wanted to send me back to Dr ** but I picked another Dr there in the field instead. Still not sure if I'm keeping appt but true they are pretty much only Drs around for back shoulder problems. To folks considering them honest to God, go somewhere else. Good luck ??Review fromCharles G

1 starOvercharge regularly. When asked to quote a procedure they will never quote accurately and then overcharge and not acknowledge the quote. When mistakes happen in billing YOU are on the hook. They will send to court and garnish your wages. These are examples from the last two times, I and my wife have had the joy of using them. The unfortunately have a virtual monopoly on ortho care in the ******** ** area. So you have no choice but to deal with them. Get EVERYTHING in writing. Thier doctors are great, thier billing is abysmal to say the least. They act like costs be damned and you will pay what they want you to pay. Period. Look at the reviews here, not a limited issue. This is the way they run thier business.Review fromChristie A

1 starAll of the OrthoVirginia locations in the ********, ** area only care about their bottom line. They dont care about their Patients and half their Doctors are subpar. If you have a bill with them they dont communicate with you on getting it resolved, they send it to collections and then they will garnish your check or put a legal hold on your account, even if the bill is not yours or filed under your insurance. They dont care about you are your family is long is they get their money. They dont care if they starve your family or cause you to be without lights or Homeless is long is they get their money.Review fromLillie T

1 starIn 2014 I suffered a foot injury playing basketball. Over 2 months went by, the pain and inflammation continued so I booked an appointment with ***** VAs podiatrist. He was unable to see me so I saw his physician assistant. No X-rays were taken and all he did was give me anti inflammatory medication. 8 days later, I ended up in the hospital for 5 days with renal failure. I was very lucky I didnt lose my kidney functions entirely and end up on dialysis! The hospital doctors concluded that the only cause for the failure was the anti inflammatories. Fast forward to October of ******************************************************************** the same foot, same area. The original injury never healed properly. A simple X-ray would have avoided the years of discomfort and pain. Im a 69 year old man that believes in giving people a second chance. Now for my second bad experience with them. It happened in late 2020, pain and discomfort continued until January of 2023 when I had a shoulder replacement done by another group of orthopedic surgeons. In 2020, an OrthoVA doctor reattached a torn bicep muscle on my right shoulder. The next 2 years I continued to have pain in the shoulder. I went back to the same Orthopedic doctor in September of 2022 and after 3 consecutive appointments and a complete run around, I decided to find another local practice. My new doctor looked over my tests, MRI, X-ray, etc and immediately pointed out that my shoulders ball and socket were bone on bone and I needed a replacement done. The replacement went great and after 8 months of recovery, my shoulder seems fine. Im not looking forward to a second surgery in the same year but at least I found a new group of doctors that take pride in their standard of care. OthroVA seems to simple run a patient mill, in and out every ***** mins!!!Review fromMark C

3 starsI had excellent care and everyone directly with ***** was fine. The problem is the 2nd party (Sharecare)that handles the paperwork for work and disability (short term). It takes them to long to process anything that goes through to them. I'm left waiting to get paid(short term)I've been released to go back to work now for two days and still waiting on the Sharecare this 2nd party to process paperwork so I can return to work. Crazy! I'm waiting with no pay!Review fromLynn S

1 starIn all the *********** offices, the front desk help is aweful. I recently left a message for the receptionist of physical therapy ******* to call me back. That was three business days ago. I left a message for the PT office manager to call me back today. No callback received. This is NO was for customer service to act. Yes, they essentially are customer service. Even worse, it's impossible to get to your physician.Review fromGregory K

1 starIve had 2 spine surgeries with ****************. First one on my lower back went great, no problems. My second surgery on my neck was anything but. I made an appointment because all my pre surgery symptoms were back with a vengeance. I had an appointment with **************, the **. He suggested I get a nerve ablation with ************. Well, let me tell you, dealing with that office is a joke! They will not return calls for scheduling. After weeks of trying I got thru and scheduled my first of 3 injections. My 2nd one was suppose to be 2 weeks later, well, 6 weeks later I got my 2nd after begging for some pain relief. The nerve ablation was to be scheduled 2 weeks later. I followed the discharge papers exactly as told to get that final shot. They will not answer or return calls so I call ****************,s office and was told there was nothing they could do even though they sent me there for the treatment. In the mean time Ive stop driving because my right arm is too numb and I have severe headaches and all the they told me was there was nothing they can do! This outfit has gotten too big with too many patients to give a c*** about you as an individual!Review fromJosh K

1 starGreat care provided, but billing/collections is terrible. I have been turned over for collections twice. The first time it just mysteriously went away after I called the collection company and said I had a zero balance on my chart and gave my most two recent payments. The second collections incident was for services they say was prior to ******************** incident that should have shown up on my chart balance?? No resolution yet.
