If I could give 0 stars I would."Buyer Beware!" I have an *** policy. Had a referral from my primary for Dr ******** He is in network. The practice is in network. I scheduled to make an appointment and they made my appointment with someone other than Dr ******* and didn't tell me. I went in on appointment day, paid my $30 co-pay that I should for my insurance. Saw a nurse who took my medical history and vitals. Then saw the PA. I assumed I'd see Dr ******* afterwards. But no. They immediately ushered me to scheduling my upper endoscopy and colonoscopy (due to age). Got that in the books. Had my procedures done in office. They refused to run a pre-authorization with my insurance company. I checked my coverage and estimated what it would cost based on that.Color me SHOCKED when I find out 1. The PA I saw at that initial appointment is out of network ($466 bill) 2. The procedures were done through *********************** (or some other name) which is out of network ($1,300) for the procedures themselves - when the colonoscopy is preventative and would have been covered at 100%!!!I have called and left at least 5 voicemails with the billing department and received 1 call back from someone who said she couldn't help me because she was new to the practice and hadn't worked there in May when I had my appointment and procedures. I emailed the office manager over two weeks ago and haven't heard back. I called the "schedule appointment" line and when I spoke to someone she said that she would hand deliver the message to the office manager - it's been over a WEEK and I haven't received a return call.I was never told the PA was out of network, I was never told the procedures would be billed by another medical center (considering it's in the same exact office space as the office, why would I think it wasn't the same medical practice?!?)I'm about ready to call the better business bureau and local news stations. Seems very shady and unethical to say the least.
