    On **** I gave him a check for $3,000. On **** I gave him another $3,000. He never returned to complete the work or drop off materials for the Job. See the attached timeline and emails.

    On September 30th, *********************** (TLK Construction, LLC), emailed me the proposed costs to complete the roofing project (***** roof over existing deck). He asked for the money as he was seeing the price in material was increasing. I paid *********************** (TLK Construction, LLC) $***** on September 30th to get the project on his schedule and he indicated that the project would start within the next few weeks. On this day, he indicated that he already ordered the hand rails. Here was the original proposal: I propose to furnish materials and labor to build a ***** roof over the back deck. Roof is to be open ***** with a sunburst. - the ceiling to be vinyl soffit material. Color to be determined. - handrails to be black aluminum. - all trim will match the existing house. - roof shingles to match the existing. - will prep for 4 led lights and a ceiling fan. - we will dispose of all construction debris and extra materials. Job site will be kept neat and cleaned each day. The cost of the project is $ ****** Payments to be- $ ***** down $ ***** plywood on the roof $ ***** upon completion You can make the check payable to TLK Construction or you can use Zelle.Through numerous email, text, and phone communications, after multiple dates promised to start the project, he communicated that the work would begin May 1, 2023. He has not been in contact with me and the work has never started. I communicated that I was terminating the project with his company and wanted a full refund of my initial down payment. He has yet to respond.
