    November 3, 2019 I brought a deer head and two pair of deer feet all of which were one of a kind from a leucistic piebald deer, very very rare, to be be mounted upright on an oak plaque with atleast one pair of feet to be freeze dried and mounted to the plaque as a gun rack. I was made aware that the feet would be $75 extra and I’d have to upgrade my oak plaque to fit the feet, I agreed to the total of $636.28. He informed me that it would be approximately one year til completion which I agreed to. I paid a 50% deposit that day and left all with him. He contacted me around March or April of 2020 saying the mount was finished but he was still waiting on the feet but if I wanted to come pick the mount up I could, so I did and I paid remaining balance when I picked it up. He assured me the feet were being processed and when they were ready I could pick them up or he’d send them to me, I agreed. Several months went by with no call and then the original completion date passed by, I messaged him several times during this period and he assured me they were coming. I even asked if they had gotten lost or damaged and he assured me they were not. Fast forward to 2021 and I still have not received the feet and when I inquired about them he told me to leave him alone about the damn feet he was in the middle of a damn divorce, his words exactly. After some not so nice words from him and quite an argument from me he agreed to originally just pay the $75 for the cost of processing the feet and I told him that was not good enough and that they were rare one of a kind white hooves he expressed his sincere apology and told me he would send me a check for a full refund. He actually sent this to me thru text and told me to make sure I was gonna be home the next week because he was sending it certified mail and I would have to sign for it. Here we are in 2022 and I still have not received one penny from him and the work is not completed.

    The mount was completed as stated in the complaint, the contract he signed also states that once work has started no cancellation of work was permitted unless the deposit was void, I have spoken with my lawyer on this matter which is why the complainant has not heard from me. It’s specially states in the contract that the complainant signed that Monarch Taxidermy isn’t responsible for third party loss or theft. There will be no refund as he HAS received a COMPLETED shoulder mount and an oak plaque to go along with the shoulder mount.
