My experience with Miller and Smith has been profoundly disappointing, bordering on negligent. After discovering severe weather damage to my roof, I submitted an insurance claim with Progressive. Progressive did not honor my claim because they determined that my problem was poor workmanship and substandard materials not a natural event —a fact that only surfaced following a significant weather event. I reached out to Miller and Smith have not only refused to acknowledge their accountability quicky blaming the roofing contractor they used and telling me that I was basically out of luck because I was past my 12-month warranty, I spoke to the COO and he was dismissive and un-interested, I reached out to the CEO he didn't bother to do a courtesy acknowledgment, he just ignored me. I submitted three online forms with their warranty service department and again ignored, not a call not an acknowledgment. Miller and Smith have over 900 5-star reviews on their site, but they do not allow anyone to post a review, they curate the reviews I do not believe they are real, based on what I read elsewhere there is no way this company has any 5-star reviews. The one thing I know is that Miller and Smith are not ethical, not professional and once the sale is done, you are no longer worthy of their time, as a result Miller and Smith left me to bear the brunt of the repair costs alone. This lack of responsibility and customer support is unacceptable from a builder of their reputation. I urge anyone considering Miller and Smith for their construction needs to take this account seriously. The quality of workmanship and aftercare service is not what one would expect, and it could leave you facing similar issues.

As the customer notes, a severe weather event caused damage to his home and other homes within his neighborhood creating the need for the roof to be repaired. I spoke to the customer for the first time on 3/21 and received an email from him that same day. In order to further assist with his claim, I requested, on the same day as his initial communication, a copy of the denial by his insurance company. Ten (10) days later, I have still not received any further information from him or his insurance company.
