My name is *************************** was a resident at creekpointe apartments ********************************************************** until July ******* and I have dropped before a notice of move out and also sent email to the leasing team here at Creekpointe, ********** , ** and at the corporation as well. However they did not accommodate my disability with my request of ending the contract early, when I don't even have a contract signed and I am on month to month . However there are current circumstances that happened.I have attached documents that prove I was on the ** last week (July *******) due to an accident and I am injured I am having a very hard time going upstairs to the third floor and have to move to a different place . I also have documents and health records of my two back surgeries from the disability I have, due to this accident my injury increased and I am unable to live here any longer as I need specialized care .In ******** , as with all other states, a tenant can break a lease early, without penalty, because of mental or physical disability.Practically speaking, a tenant with a disability could request to terminate the lease if they are no longer able to function in a regular rental unit and need specialized care. However creekpointe apartments are charging me for the month of August 2024 when I already hand out keys July ******* and my neighbors told me they have already painted and about to rent the apartment as well. I need to focus on my recovery as I am a teacher and will get back to school . Please help me resolve this issue as they deny to accommodate my request .
