On January 31st, 2024, I visited the Center for NeuroRehabilitation at **********************************************************. The events leading up to the visit and those occurring during and after are deeply troubling.
1. Misrepresentation regarding the examination by ************************* who they assured me was who I would see and that a visit with her was like the doctor himself. Instead, they put me with a PA that had only been there for 4 months without any notification prior to my visit or upon arrival.
2. Absence of Cost Breakdown. They charged more than what they told me it could be before my visit and failed to provide a detailed breakdown of costs prior to my visit.
3. Failure to Offer Sliding Scale Fee. Despite reporting to them that I was a low-income cash patient, no option for a sliding scale fee was presented which they do offer.
4. Failure to deduct charge for a computer test that Malfunctioned during visit. Failure to send test to retake which they said they would do.
5. Zero Communication and Abrupt Termination of Care when I alerted their staff that there was a problem with the referrals to other doctors and imaging centers.
6. Zero communication about how long it takes to receive a visit summary. Zero communication that they do not have a patient portal and that they do not provide short visit summaries via email. I only found this out when they decided to abruptly terminate care after I expressed an urgency in receiving a visit summary. The only thing they told me when I finished my visit was that they would send me a visit summary and I didn't need to right anything down. A normal doctor's ****** knows how to communicate these key things such as how long it takes, how they provide it and when we can expect it. Instead, I got no response from staff at all when I followed up to ask for it.
7. Absence of Treatment Plan. No treatment given or diagnosis. They just copied my medical history with handwritten notes and asked me a ton of questions. Then referred me to several other doctors in which there were serious issues with their referrals and communication to those doctors resulting in no additional care.
8. Poor ***************** and Communication, violated patient privacy by including me on an email for a different patient. Then asked me to destroy the email.
9. They said that they left me a VM on X day in regard to some questions I called with, but I received no call nor a voice message. I have phone records supporting this.
