              *************** told me the charge would be ** and it ended up being ** and ***, never once did they mention that *** charge. I called justanswer and they promised to reverse the charge and cancel the account, the did cancel the account but never reversed the charges. I called langley and spoke to them over the phone, asked for a supervisor, explained what was going on, and they told me they would file a dispute. Days later, still no dispute filed, I use the system online to ask why and am being given the run around. So Allow me to make it simple, they overcharged, I have not received the product, and calling them does nothing, as my bank, dispute both the ** charge and the *** charge now, and I have no idea why you need to make this so difficult.

              I read that they are supposed to give notice before raising credit card rates. I visited the establishment and was reminded of the document I signed in 20** but not given a copy. My credit card interest rate went from ***** ** **** without notice. Half of my monthly payments go towards interest. My mortgage has skyrocketed because I’m stuck on a ARM while working on debt cancellation. Langley FCU are aware of my financial state and have chosen to be the oppressor and oppressors WILL eventually fall.

              The majority of consumer credit cards, including Langley's, operate on a variable-rate basis, meaning that the interest rate can fluctuate up or down based on the Prime Rate. This information is disclosed during the application process, and the current rate is stated on each monthly statement. Lenders have no influence over the Prime Rate, and there is no legal requirement or mechanism to pre-notify rate changes. Similarly, this member's mortgage, like the credit card, features an adjustable rate that was disclosed at the time of origination. However, unlike the credit card, Langley has both the capability and the obligation to send notices of rate changes to its members. On December 15, 2023, Langley sent a notice of rate change to the member's property address, which also serves as her mailing address on record. In response to the member's complaint, we have made efforts to reach out to her and offer another copy of this notice, as it seems she may not have received it. We encourage this member to reach out to us with any additional questions. We are here to explore potential solutions to help alleviate financial stress.
