    I purchased a vehicle from Maya Auto Sales on 12/29/2022. At the time of sale my boyfriend was present and we both took an interest in the white 2007 Chevrolet impala. We asked the sales man by the name of **** was there anything wrong with this vehicle and he stated that the vehicle had just been inspected in November. We did get to test drive the vehicle and after test driving the vehicle there was another sales man there and he took the vehicle somewhere, not sure where but he stated that he was going to take it to have it checked over. He had been gone for almost an hour while we did paperwork and added insurance. Not even a week after purchasing this vehicle the steering wheel fell off while we was in the middle of 5 I clock traffic and the car was totaled. There was no cosmetic damage done to the vehicle but I called **** to make him aware of the situation and he was extremely rude. He laughed about the situation and said that he was not going to accommodate me anything and he called me illiterate for purchasing the vehicle. Now I am out of a car and **** dollars. There was a to man that showed up to the scene as **** had sent them to get the car, he checked out the car and as he and the police looked the engine was caving through so bad that they could not tow the vehicle. The police had to have a different type of tow truck come and get the car. They stated that there was so much rust under the hood that its no way the car passed inspection. The very next day I went to the auto shop where **** was not there but the other sales man was and he refused to tell us where the car was. The police was called and we were instructed to file a civil law suit but no one will take the case as they do not handle cases like this

    The consumer financed the vehicle through our dealer ship. The vehicle was sold As-Is. A down payment was put down on the vehicle but after that no payments were made on the vehicle. We received a phone call where the consumer stated the engine fell out. Come to find out the vehicle was in an accident. The boyfriend was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. The consumers insurance found out that the boyfriend was driving the vehicle and dropped the consumers insurance and refused to cover the cost of the damages done to the vehicle. We sent a tow truck to pick the vehicle up which is now on the lot with a lot of damage done to it. No refund will be issued.
