I purchased a 2011 ****** Juke in April 2022. Prior to the purchase, I was promised by ****************** that he would fix the air compressor (which I was already aware had damages) but otherwise the car was in satisfactory condition. Unfortunately, this has proven to be false due to the continuous issues I am experiencing. I have driven the vehicle less than ***** miles yet this the vehicle is in need of a new motor (August 2022), front and rear axles, air compressor, and turbo. All but one of these repairs cost approximately $1200.00. Costs incurred to me seem excessive for a vehicle that was purchased approximately 7 months ago. I was under the impression once I purchased the car, that a car warranty was provided that would cover unforeseen repairs however once I experienced ongoing car issues, my warranty has yet to be honored. I believe that I was knowingly sold a vehicle that needed extensive repairs but the businessmen were not forthcoming about the true health of the vehicle. I have been inconvenienced by the lack of dependability this car has provided. Financially, I have poured an excess amount of money for repairs and by also renting vehicles for transportation to and from work.

    To whom it may concern:

This is ********************* with East End Auto Sales. *************** in reference to case number ********. ********************* purchased a vehicle from ** April 19, 2022. The vehicle came with a 30 day or **** mile, whichever occurs first, warranty. She towed her vehicle to us on September 16, 2022. At that point in time the vehicle was out of warranty by almost 4 months and was also ***** miles past the warranty. There was no warranty left on the vehicle at the time it was towed to us.

**************** said her vehicle would not run. When we checked it, it was low on oil and the engine was locked up. I quoted her a price to put a used engine in it. She picked the vehicle up and declined the repairs. While the vehicle was here, she was rude and disrespectful on the phone with us and also with the person at the shop where the engine work would have been done. That mechanic informed me he would not be interested in working on the vehicle due to the disrespect. East End Auto Sales has no obligations to this vehicle and will not be refunding any money.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.] I have not driven the car ***** miles since April 2022. I have almost brought a new car with everything that had to be fixed . This car was a lemon and he was well aware of this. The car has been broken since July 2022. On ethics alone if I would have sold a disabled  Veteran of the Army, grandparent raising a small child,  a car of this caliber a car that cost her an extra $7,000 in repairs I would most definitely do something  to correct some of this cost , knowing that my company sold her the automobile. I have proof that the car was like this when I brought it. The compressor should have been fixed before I took it off the lot. That is what the salesmen promised me in text messages . It never happened. They had it three times and it was never fixed. I took it to ****** and they said it needed a Compressor. Mr. ******* stated he would have to look at to have it checked out. I just saying this is the company that made the car . Why would they not know what is wrong with it. He never fixed that problem. Them the motor went 2 months later. I was not disrespectful to him in anyway, He is a liar and a con artist. He knows the car was not right and does not want to repair anything. The car needs a motor, and many other items essential to the operation of the vehicle. ******************** father would not agree with the manner in which his son is running his business, This is a sad situation. I know that God will fix this.

    Regards,

    *********************
