I began service with Solve Pest Pros in late summer of 2024, initially paying $55. The service was incomplete due to equipment failure, and it took over a month for the company to return and finish the job. Despite the delay and lack of service for that first month, I was still charged the full amount. After multiple communications and persistent efforts on my part, the company finally agreed to waive the fee for the month I was not serviced. Once this was resolved, I paid an additional $110 to cover the months I was actually serviced and nothing more.Although this seemed like a resolution, the customer service throughout the process was extremely poor. I experienced long delays in communication and dismissive responses to legitimate concerns. The companys initial refusal to waive the fee for an incomplete month of service showed a lack of accountability and respect for their customers.Recently, I received a harassing phone call from Solve Pest Pros, during which no one responded when I answered. I had already been informed that this matter would be sent to collections, and I had requested no further direct communication. This call violates consumer protection laws, and I find it unacceptable.Additionally, during their door-to-door sales process, I requested solicitation documentation, which the salesperson failed to provide. This may constitute a violation of local solicitation ordinances, and I have filed a formal complaint with the ******************************************************* (*****).I request that Solve Pest Pros cease all further direct communication with me. Thank you for your follow-up regarding my complaint (ID ********* against Solve Pest Pros.
To confirm, the business has not addressed or resolved this complaint directly. The only communication I have received from Solve Pest Pros was a generic message from a representative named Brooklyn asking me to call their office. I responded by reiterating my position and requesting no further direct communication unless it was to confirm that my account was marked as paid in full for services rendered. I have not received any such confirmation or resolution from the company.
Given their continued lack of engagement and failure to address the matter meaningfully, I agree with your decision to close the complaint as "No Response" and reflect this on their BBB profile.

A solve pest pro agent came by the house in June about their services. They charged the card for the first month of course and then try to charge for July without saying that you would pay for months that they did NOT come out to spray. I let them know i wanted to cancel when I was called by one of their agents and they still was trying to charge my card July, again in august, and September. Now i am being harassed by their automatic machine and debt collector A.R.M about a past due balance of $615 for a service that I only received for the month of June! This is very unacceptable and distasteful customer service. I will be getting a lawyer involved because businesses shouldnt bully people into having a half done service!Initial Complaint

I was contacted at my home by a pest control salesman and agreed to a service. After one service I noticed the chemicals applied to my home caused discoloration of my windows, killed multiple plants, and led to me having lightening of the paint inside/outside my home. There were also bug-larvae (little brown mud-like deposits around my home) that were promised to be removed that were not.I attempted to contact the business, but spent over 45 minutes on hold waiting for a representative to answer multiple times, I never was ablet to make contact with the company or leave a voicemail to voice my concerns.I placed a stop-payment on my card, which led to the biuiness contacting me and informing me someone would reach out. Weeks later I was contacted and informed them of my concerns. The reply I immediately received is the monthly fee ($55) plus a cancellation fee ($400) would be sent to collections. I advised them this was absurd given the damages to my home, and they advisd me it would be sent to collections regardless. The company has no concern for the damages to my home, and only informed me their products are "plant based" which my paint and plants clearly do not appreciate.I will accept a resolution of the charges being dropped and services cancelled, as I have extra paint and materials to repair my home and have already been making efforts to do so while waiting for contact.Customer Answer

This company came to my house in regards to pest control services. Their sales rep did not let me know that it would be a monthly charge and they were charging me but nobody was coming out here to service my yard. I think someone came one time and I told them on a recorded line that I would like someone to call me before they come out and they never followed through with that.Business Response

Trying to cancel contract. Contract ends at the end of March ****. I notified the company today to give 30 days notice of termination. They replied that I have to pay to the end of May. Monthly payments are $49.00. They have my credit card on file for monthly payments but don't process payments til they try to reach out for approval. They asked for early termination fees of $400.00 plus . I don't understand if this contract is legal.Business Response

In June 2023 a representative came knocking on our door (which we have a no solicitation policy in our neighborhood) and advertised services. The representative said I could cancel at any time and did not tell me about an early termination fee or that I would have to pay back discounts I received. I signed up and for six months, I did not receive notification or any documentation or see anyone come to my property and spray. I'm here 24/7 and would know if they had been back out. I called today to cancel service, advised them nobody has been out to service my property since June and they told me I would have to pay $250 in discounts I received when I signed up and a $100 early termination fee. They said I signed an agreement which the representative had an ipad and said I had to sign to get service started. I never received the agreement. I'm outraged that I've already paid them $59 for six months ($354) and now I owe them $350 for cancelling a service that never happened. I would either like the termination fee and discount fee waived or I want it waived with a refund of the $354.Business Response

This is about the ************, ** Solve Pest Pro location On 5/15/2023 as I was heading out on my way to ***** for a convention when a solve pest pro door salesman knocked on my door one is named *********** not sure of the other. Informing me about a promotion theyre doing in my housing development where usually one of their pest control services cost $270 but they are doing the service for $70 by grouping all the houses together that sign up. Explained that it was for a one time service. I felt like that was a great deal and so I agreed to have them service my house. The next month I noticed that there was another $70 charge on my credit card. Really confused I called and inquired about the charge. The company went to inform me that the door salesman unbeknownst to me, signed me up for a year contract where they charge monthly but only render the services quarterly, which is about every three months. When I told the customer service agent that thats not what the door salesman told me when he was pitching the services and that was fraud, and very predatory business practices that I wanted to cancel the services, then I was informed to cancel the services I would be charged a cancellation fee of $380. From there, I told him that I would not be bullied into paying for services after the door salesman fraudulently signed me in a contract through predatory practices and then Ill be informing the Attorney General and local news.Business Response

Ive already spoken with the local office and they threatened me with a $380 cancellation fee. All I wanted to do was cancel my service and be done with this company but now I have to deal with a possible collection damaging my credit report due to the company fraudulently signing me up for a contract and attempting to prey on me. *** already attempted to handle this and now if you all dont handle the local ************ office, Im gonna have to take it further. Im not paying no $380 cancellation fee. Im not being bullied into continuing the services delete my account or I will take it further

The problem is that you were served by an independently owned and operated franchise location, which means your account is not under our jurisdiction and can't be accessed by us. This is not an isolated incident, Solve Pest Pro has an F with the BBB. Its heavily documented in multiple locations that this is how the company does business. Im going to move forward with informing the attorney general and local news. This company is a fraud and scams people, its disgusting that as a corporate office you allow franchises to operate in this manner and act helpless when its reported. Solve Pest Pro deserves to be out of business for the all the fraudulent and predatory practices

Good afternoon I have contacted my bank months ago and told them that a company came to my house and signed me up for a pest control service. I was told I could cancel before thirty days. So thats what I did but when you call to cancel there was never anyone to answer the customer service calls. The voicemail just asked to leave messages. Secondly, a technician came to my residence I asked to not to provide services because I had cancelled months ago. This same company still was sending me bills and hitting my credit card even though I verbally told them to cancel the service and called the number provided to left message on the voicemail. They did return a call before and told me the supervisor would call me back about cancelling the service. This has been a long year and Im Tired on this company. I was contacted by mail from a collections agency. I need this company to stop harassing me. And trying to spray for animals and bugs that dont even exist in Southside Richmond. I have four mental issues and I believe I was tricked into this that is why I asked them not to service the home that I dont own. I am a renter of the home. Service started May 22. Was advised I would pay $50. Every 3 months. This was for preventive services. If a bug/rodent problem arrive they would come out and get rid of the problem. In August A field mouse problem occurred due to my fence and deck being built by a professional contractor. I called them, they came said mice were not a part of the contract. Billed me$60.00 for pest boxes and bait. About a month after that I saw a *****. I called they came out and said that I have German Roaches and their not covered. I asked them what was I paying for? Everytime I have a problem it's not covered. Billed me another $60.00. According to ****** on 10/29/22 they bill $50.00 every month. If you have a problem or not. And would not be billed if problem arises. To date the company has taken money every month either $50.00 0r $60.00. And has not resolved ******** or ***** problem. When I called to complain a supervisor said he would return the service call fee. That was not done.Today ****** said he apologized for the miss representation and again offered to remove the month. I advised him that I have been lied to already and I wished to cancel my service. He said he would. This company has has taken months of money from me and I'm a senior on a fixed income. Based upon your complaint, it appears that there was a miscommunication regarding what is included in the "general pest" plan that you signed up for. Your general pest plan included coverage for 16 different pests. Your technician's regularly scheduled treatments included treatment and prevention of those 16 types of pests (listed on your service agreement.) In addition to the general pest control plan, we also offer "add-on" services for an additional recurring cost. This seems to be where part of the miscommunication occurred. Although we are happy that this was resolved in November, we are deeply sorry for the frustration you experienced. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to resolve your concerns. I have tried to resolve the issue with this company since September 21, 2022. They were hired to provide pest control services that they failed to provide. They never came inside the home and only treated the yard once from July 2022 to September 2022. On Sept 21, I called to complain about the failed service, and I revoked the consent to draft payments from my account due to non-service. I requested the account to be closed. As a curtesy to ease the conversation the representative offered a courtesy las treatment. They came out and did yard treatment "courtesy treatment". There has been no entry to my home or service rendered inside, but they got payment on July, August, and September. On September 28th they drafted another $50.00 payment. I called on Oct ************************ that conversation I learned that the account was not closed, and the draft payment consent was not removed as request back on Sept. 21, 2022. I spoke to *****, her manager ******* and Account manager ******* to resolve the issue. They have refused to refund payment and advised me that there will be penalties and discounts reversals for closing the account. I explained that they have not render the service offered but the company is not willing to work with me to resolve. They over drafted my account, didn't provide the service, and threatened to add fees for canceling the service. I find it unacceptable that is their response after not fulfilling or providing the service for over two months.Customer Answer
