Bank stole 200 and gave to scammer. Reported fraud then continued to give them money multiple months after fraud after canceling card and calling fraud dept multiple times. Then charged me 140 in fees because they took money not authorized. They took another 10 and another 25 that was not authorized. They refuse to give me my money back. I proved that was NOT my student loan company amd they continue to overdraft a declining account. And Biden said we weren't paying loans at the time they stole my money. If they hadn't stolen my money i could have worked and not been late on my car payment i lost over 10K in lost wages. I want the late taken off credit and the 140 25 and 10 paid back.Business response

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. Credit Bureau has not been fixed and is still harassing me on loan when they did not make adjustments to account in timely manner. No mention of months of lost wages since harassment is still in effect. Regards, ********* *****Customer response

The Supervisory Committee of Member One Federal Credit Union has independently reviewed and investigated the second complaint outlined in BBB ID: ********. In addition, the Committee requested that management of Member One Federal Credit Union examine the above referenced case and provide its response to the Committee for review and consideration. The review determined that the $92.15 transaction represents an authorized online merchant purchase on December 17, 2021. On March 30, 2022, a team representative explained that, because the transaction occurred more than 60 days ago, a formal dispute can no longer be filed through the credit union. A trace number for the purchase was provided with instructions that the matter must be discussed with the online merchant. The Supervisory Committee of Member One Federal Credit Union would like to thank the BBB of Western Virginia for bringing this matter to its attention. I received a phone call voicemail one day to call Member One back. I have an auto loan with them. Before I had the chance, I received a letter in the mail stating my bill was past due and would go to collections and the full amount would be immediately due if not paid by 11/22. I had no idea what was happening. My payment had been paid automatically every month without fail. I called. They said the DMV had informed them that my insurance had lapsed and so they went out and bought insurance for me and were charging me. I had NO idea! I went to the DMV. The DMV said they don't do any such thing and that nothing was wrong with my account at all. There was a time where my insurance lapsed and I didn't know it for 11 days before I immediately got insurance when I realized it. I told Member One who told me to take it up with their insurance company. I demanded they be responsible. Since then, all that has happened is lies, misinformation, harassing phone calls, and more lies. Nothing has been done. I have received no relief from the bill I do NOT owe, they are still threatening me, still demanding money, calling multiple times a day demanding I pay. I have talked to numerous people on the phone, been to a branch in person 3 times. Still no resolution. And now they are claiming I haven't even paid October's bill despite the fact they withdrew the money from my account which is clearly documented. I'm getting a lot of attitude, a lot of misdirection, and zero answers. As far as I know, they plan to repossess my car if I don't pay a bill they refuse to acknowledge that I don't owe.Business response

My problem I’m having with MemberOne Federal Credit union is that I’m getting $35 courtesy pay fees for transactions that I had more then enough money to cover. When I call into customer service for assistance because I see a discrepancy the phone banker told me that the bank post the smallest fees to avoid the customer getting fees. She also said the larger item pulled out my account first then the small item pulled but that is not how it posted to my account. I have had to call in almost every month to complain about this and when they return the fee I was told it wasn’t a bank error but it is a bank error. The information should not be contradicting with what I see on my account it should all make sense and at this point I feel like the bank is stealing money from customers by charging fees for items that should not be a fee because the money is in the account. I attached a recent discrepancy where you can see the issue.Business response
