July 2022 I hired Lee's Hardwood floors to install prefinished hardwood floors and quarter round {shoe molding) in my foyer, living and dining room, hallway and kitchen and install 13 stair treads. He was to remove the carpet and provide the underlayment and nails and we were to provide the hardwood flooring, stair treads and quarter round (shoe molding). On Sept. 19, 2022 Mr. Lee's crew arrived and finished up at 9PM. At that time I noticed the carpet at the bottom of the step was damaged as they cut it to short and that the step risers and trim had been damaged when they removed the old carpet. I was told not to worry about it as my "trim man" would take care of it. When I told them that I didn't have a trim man as they had damaged it, they attempted to nail the damaged trim back in place and suggested I replace the risers at an additional cost of $500 and I did. Within a day or so I noticed that my floors had gaps where there shouldn't be and crooked cuts and were uneven especially in my kitchen and living room. The heating vent hole in my living room floor had been cut to large and had a 1/4 inch gap around it. All of the quarter round installed has large gaps underneath it. You can hear alot of pops and cracks when walking on it. It was quite evident to me that my floors had NOT been installed properly. Putty everywhere in gaps, nail holes everywhere with no putty. My door trim has gouges in it. Two weeks after I called him, Mr Lee reluctant came to take a look. He then had his crew come back to fix the vent hole and he had them put in filler putty in some of the floor gaps. When I questioned him about the uneven flooring in my kitchen and living room and my concern about the putty he said that was all they could do to fix it. As of today, he still will not return a call or fix my floors and quarter round! I want a refund as my floors are not properly installed. He did not provide the professional quality of work that was agreed upon.
