    We contracted this company to do work outdoors in May 2024. We gave Hunter Torode a down payment for half of the job. He came with a crew and started out great, then realized that he did not correctly estimate the amount of rocks that he would need to finish the job. We gave him an additional $2,000 to buy more materials, not wanting to penalize him for his miscalculation and figuring that he was a young contractor who probably wasn't flush with cash. He then said that he could not find the correct size of rock. It is now December 2024. The job is half done. I have contacted him many, many times via text and Facebook. He generally does not respond, or when he does, tells me he'll finish the job "next week." We are now in the position that we need to take him to small claims court to get a refund of our extra $2,000. I hate to do this to a young man starting out in business, but all he needed to do was to be honest, answer my text messages, and finish the job. I do not recommend using this company.
