We purchased an engine assembly from this salvage yard 4/28/2023 after calling their yard to specifically inquire about the condition etc. The part was listed online in "Grade A" condition and states on the receipt that it "runs". (The manager states their grading system is solely based on the mileage on the unit and nothing else.) I was upsold a 6 months parts only warranty but was not offered a labor warranty to go with it despite their claims they did which the manager later informed me I "didn't purchase" - because I didn't know was an option. Had they offered it, we would have purchased it. We installed the engine assembly they sent and immediately on FIRST START UP.. it sounds like it is beating itself to death. There were metal particulates in the oil and made and they then asked us jump thru loads of hoops and were forced to give them more FREE labor to prove their engine was junk by requiring us to send numerous videos and photos multiple times claiming repeatedly that they never received them. Not to mention they dragged their feet on approving a replacement and contacting the shop after they could confirm they were submitted. Their manager did return my call about this issue and refuses any labor coverage even though it was false advertising regarding the condition that the unit was listed in and a lack of disclosure of the condition of this unit which is fraudulent. I asked specific questions about the engine and if it was heard running to avoid this very problem - the knocking and terrible grinding noises were NOT DISCLOSED. We are seeking for this establishment to pay a reduced labor rate & for wasted fluids as well as diagnostic time for their own supplied engine. We would desire for them to contact us regarding an arrangement which would be the moral and ethical best business practice. We may be reached at ###-###-####.
