On October 13, 2023 myself and my mother traveled almost 2 hours away to hopefully purchase a vehicle. Upon arrival, everyone was very welcoming and nice. After being at the small dealership for almost 6 hours, they helped us settle with a 2010 ****** Xterra. We left to take the two hour drive back home. We noticed a slight slipped but assumed it was just a minor issue. Approximately. 7 hours after arriving home, my mother and I get up so I can take she can take me to work ( mind you my job is approximately 40 minutes away from home) my mom drops me of at work, while shes heading home on the high she calls me to tell me that the vehicle jerks extremely hard and goes from 70 miles an hour all the way down to ***** miles an hours, beings though she was on the highway she had to think quickly to avoid getting into a bad accident. She was only able to drive the car in ***** miles an hour and get home within an hour and a half. She called the dealership and they insisted on getting me a loaner. My mom missed work that day. They came and picked the vehicle up within 2 days of the incident occurring. I was given a **** ****** 4-runner, at which they bought to me. That vehicle to didnt start up the next morning. Me and my mother missed another day of work. I contact the dealership and request my money back, at that point I was assured that all issues would be resolved. Fast forward to almost a month in a half of the dealership having the 2010 ****** Xterra, I called and sent almost 80 to 90 test messages with the owner and all of the workers at the dealership in reference to when the vehicle would be repaired. I finally got the vehicle back the beginning of the month of December. After getting it back, it starts to smoke really back ( which is partly what it was doing on the highway after my mother took me to work) Theyve given us four other vehicles that werent ( per a certified mechanic shop) legally and properly inspected. The 2010 ****** Xterra is inoperable in my back yard after months of pleading , texting, calling, asking for a resolution.
