Date of Service: 5/10/2022 Amount Total: $951.87 Service Details: Tires, Mount, ************************************* 4 new tires from Ron's of Warrenton (aka **************** via online search and ordering over the phone. The tires were to be mounted on 20 inch stock painted rims on a 2018 **** Explorer. The tires came in stock and on May 10th we came in for install. A service that took 30 minutes to complete. We left ***** not having noticed initially, the condition of the rims. After closer inspection we found ***** gouged 2 of 4 of our rims and scraped the face of 1 other, totaling to 3 damaged rims. We came back in same afternoon and filed a complaint with the manager. Who inspected the 3 rims and took photos of the damage. It's at this point the manager proclaims the scraped rim face is from the duck of the tire machine clamping down on the wheel. However, he contended that scrape was a scuff from the plastic that could be buffed out. He asked what I wanted for a remedy and I proposed they be repaired or replaced. The claim went to the owner for review and we'd be contacted. We waited a week before calling back, only to be told that the vehicle's tires had been changed prior (prior to us owning the vehicle as well) and there would be know way of proving they were responsible for the damage. He also pointed out that the establishment has multiple signs stating they are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle incurred during service. Had we known that they would not be liable for their craftsmanship when we ordered tires over the phone, we would not have selected them for the install.Remedy: Repair and or replace damaged rims, or refund us in full.The damaged rims will cost $400.00 each to replace, and can cost up to an avg of $400.00 each to repair.
