We purchased a dog in May of 2022, the puppy is supposes to be a Cavalier King Charles Spanial, but we do not believe he is, we believe he is mixed. We believe he is a Cockalier. We are looking to get a dna test. His legs are long and nose. I wanted a little dog. For the price we paid and being a AKC. I should have a little dog, I feel scammed. 3,000 for a dog and Its a mixed dog. Do a dna on your dogs before you buy from a breeder.

    Dispute Resolution Team,
On May 23, 2022, **** ******** ******* purchased a "Cavalier King Charles Spaniel" not a " Cockalier" as she stated. "The puppy is "ACA" registered not "AKC" registered. The breeder is a reputable breeder as are all the breeders Puppy City purchases our puppy from. This breeder is a USDA Licensed Breeder which is inspected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is responsible for licensing these businesses and inspecting them to make sure they comply. All the puppy's information such as expected weight, height, temperament, etc., is posted on the front of each crib None of these statements are guaranteed. Just like children, some end up being taller, some shorter, some, heavy, and skinny?

It is amazing in these times of economic hardship how people will try to find a way to get money from wherever they can. To me this is what a retailer would consider defrauding the retailer.
I called **** ******* on April 26, 2023, and left a message stating that Puppy City, would out of the kindness of our hearts take the "Cavalier King Chares Spaniel" back in exchange for a "AKC" Cavalier King Chares Spaniel. This is the only option available to **** *******. We will rehome the puppy she has to someone who will love the puppy and will not judge because his legs and nose are long! Even with an "AKC" dog we cannot guarantee the puppy will be a certain size to please **** *******.

    Sincerely,
    Manager, Puppy City, LLC.

    DEAR *******,

I REJECT YOUR OFFER, AND AM OFFENDED BY YOUR REQUEST, TO (GIVE ME A DOG THAT IS A CAVALIER KING CHARLES, BUT ONLY IF I BRING THE DOG I PURCHASED FROM YOU BACK. WE HAVE HAD HIM FOR A YEAR, HE IS FAMILY.) AND CLEARLY YOU DON'T CARE, AND DON'T SEE THE ISSUE, ( HE IS NOT A CAVALIER KING CHARLES) HE IS A COCKALIER. WE WAS LIED TO. YOU BUT ON PAPER THAT HE IS A CAVALIER KING CHARLES, AKC PARTNERS, YOU COULDN'T REGISTURE HIM AS A FULL AKC PAPERS SO YOU DID AKC PARTNERS, FOR MIXED OR DOGS THAT AKC DON'T RECOGNIZE. AKC EMAILED ME AND TOLD ME THAT I STILL HAVE THE EMAIL. AND I'M ANGER TO YOU SAY PEOPLE WILL GO TO ANY LINKS TO GET MONEY. HOW DARE YOU. YOU CHARGED US 3000 FOR A DOG THAT IS NOT THE DOG YOU SAID HE IS. NO, YOU WILL GO TO ANY LINKS TO ROB PEOPLE OUT OF MONEY THEY WORK SO HARD TO GET.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

    Regards,

I purchased 2 puppies for $5000 plus tax. I went to their one of three vets with the first 10 days and the vet claimed they were healthy minus a respiratory infection. They treated the puppies and sent me on my way. Went to my vet I have for my other dogs and they told me the female dog has a soft palate (which she was born with). Then the boy. Puppy got sick probably ingesting a toxin and the emergency vet noticed a heart murmur. So I filed a claim against the store. They called saying the vet I went to first wasn’t one of the contracted vet for the store (I have a paper stating other wise) and that the vet said I claimed the puppies were out door dogs and they have no responsibility to them. First they are indoor dogs minus bathroom breaks outside. Second that has nothing to do with the genetic problems with the dog. Now they are saying I have to go back to the first vet to have them diagnose the dog (even though they claim the dogs are healthy so how can I trust them a second time?) to have medical bills covered. I requested my money back because of the medical issues and the vet bills but they denied it all on the premise the dogs are outdoor dogs… ummm what does that have to do will a soft palette and a heart condition? I’m getting the run around. Don’t purchase form puppy city in Harrisonburg!!!
