    Melnor sold a device called "RainCloud Smart Water Timer." The device was for controlling lawn and garden watering via an internet connection. The device stopped working and Melnor issued a recall stating that the firmware in the control unit needed to be updated. I attempted to fill out the return form and was told that I needed to include proof of purchase when I returned the control unit. I told Melnor that I did not have a receipt for the unit but I had purchased the device and had the control unit. They replied (via email) that since I did not have proof of purchase, I could not return the device. So basically ******************** sold a product that became defective and refused to repair it.
