Unethical and deceptive. We are reporting them to Virginia’s Consumer Protection Bureau. Malloy Sales Manager, Chris S****, led us along and lied to us for over 2 weeks trying to get us to go away, before rudely ending things by hanging up on me. Our salesperson, Andy O*****, either lied directly to us or was simply incompetent. I purchased a truck here in January and Malloy agreed to provide a warranty through "Alpha Warranty" with modest coverage: 30 days / 3000 miles, up to $1500. Andy provided a brochure and hand-wrote the coverage details on it. I was assured this warranty would be applied, and there was nothing more I needed to do. She verbally confirmed this in front of me with the Sale Manager, Chris S****, and with the finance rep. In February, I had the truck serviced at my local shop. They discovered a cracked exhaust manifold - $1700.00 bill. They checked with Alpha Warranty for me to ensure coverage for the issue. They discovered that my truck is not in Alpha's system. Upon confronting Malloy, we were informed the warranty was not "guaranteed", and the day after the sale they discovered my truck did not qualify for warranty (and they didn’t contact me to let me know). Since this was part of the agreement, I requested that Malloy cover the portion of the repair that the warranty would have covered (50% of the cost, so about $850 for this repair). They first said no. After pressing them, I was told by Mr. S**** that he would speak to the GM at Malloy Chevrolet, Doug S****, to look into the issue. Mr. S**** kept informing me that Mr. S**** was unavailable. After several weeks of delay, I was finally given a direct "No" by the Sale Manager. I informed him that if the dealership chooses to disregard their agreement, I would leave reviews about their bad practices. He simply replied, "Fine! Do that!", and hung up on me. If you ever have a problem with your purchase, Malloy will NOT stand by it, and you will be stuck. Run, do not walk, from this sales lot.
