Viya has owed me $11.65 since July 2024. I called them in June to let them know I was cancelling and they said that I would be refunded the difference of my statement after the billing cycle. I have called MULTIPLE times requesting that they send my refund and they pretty much just laugh at me. It's the point of it, not the amount. I want my money.Initial Complaint

I opened a cell phone account with Viya in December 2022. The monthly fee was $20 and the representative said it was a free phone and a contract for three years but I never signed a contract. (That plan was advertised with a free phone for $20 per month but didn't state a three year plan.)After having the phone for a year or less, the monthly fee went up to $25 then $40 in less than two years. However, Viya never informed me that there would be a change in the monthly fee neither inquired if I were able to pay it.I had mainly used the phone for work and it had gotten too costly for me, so on October 6, 2024, I closed the account. Around mid October I got a statement from Viya requesting $40. I called Viya to find out how much I owed from October 1 to October 6 and the woman said $40. I told her that I want to pay what I owe from October 1 to October 6. Days later I thought about the payment and decided to pay the $40. So on November 9 I went to Viya's office to pay the $40. The cashier then informed me that I owed over $800 and that I should speak to a representative. The representative informed me that I owed over $800 because Viya was charging me for the phone. I told her that when I got the phone, the representative who assisted me said that the phone was free. She then looked in the computer and said that I owed $4.00. I told her that I wanted to pay the $40 but she said I was only being charged for the days in October that I used the phone. I then went to the cashier and paid the $4.00 and the representative said that I will get an adjustment in the next billing ******** late November I called Viya to see if the adjustment was already made. The representative said that I owed $799.99 because I did not complete the three year contract. I told the representative that I never signed a contract and it was not a contract because the monthly fee kept increasing without me agreeing to it. Today, December 6, 2024, Viya said the balance is $799.99.Initial Complaint

Since July 2024, I have experienced numerous issues with my household internet and cable. I submitted multiple requests to repair the service. After weeks of calls, a technician finally arrived at my home. He came around the end of September, early October 2024. The technician replaced the cables from my modem. The internet is still so horrible. I spoke to several neighbors who are having the same issues. I also had a conversation with a technician who was servicing one of my neighbors' internet connections, as she too was encountering similar problems. The technician informed me that my area was experiencing fiber issues, not an installation issue.I followed the instructions to call back the VIYA office. I called October 16 and 17, 2024 and reported the aforementioned issues. It is now October 24, 2024, and I have yet to receive a response. We are paying our bills as if we were receiving reliable service. I am a service-connected veteran who had some critical deadlines to meet with my congress office. The intermittent internet connection has hindered my ability to send crucial information to my congress office. Viya has since outsourced their customer service internet and technical support to offshore call centers. There is a huge gap in communication. There is no easy way to get help from this company. When you call, the company transfers you to different locations worldwide. I am seeking a refund for the period from July to the present. Their customer service has declined, but the payments have increased. Please help me.Initial Complaint

Business installed malware on my phone. A phone that I owned outright and brought to viya. Viya then viokated terms and conditions and failed to correct. I have internet service with VIYA and they have intentionally blocked my apps from working on my smart televisions. I have told them about it and they have not done anything to resolve this issue. I have two friends who are using another internet service and they told me that they are getting all of their apps and nothing is being blocked. I know that they are blocking my apps because sometime back I called them about blocking ******* and they said that they arent blocking it. So I called ******* and they informed me that it is VIYA that is blocking my service. I then called back VIYA and informed them that if they dont take the block off I will file a complaint with BBB and within ten minutes the service was working on my smart televisions, my IPhone and my IPad all of a sudden. I know that some programs cant be played here in the ************** because of restrictions, but not all of them should be blocked just because they want customers to use their cable, phone and internet service. I have been using their internet for quite sometime and even though its not the best I would like to be able to see my apps and use them because all I have is streaming services that I cannot use here because of what they are doing and its not fair to the paying consumer to be held hostage.
