My husband and I own a time share at North Star Lodge. We decided to let the resort rent our week which is the week of Thanksgiving and the weekend of the World Cup races. They assured us that it would easily rent as that is a popular week. They receive 30% and we would receive 70% of the rental. We called several times over the rental status. They informed us that they had rented Friday and Saturday of that week to start for ******. The person we spoke to said not to worry it was still early and they would rent the whole week. We called on a couple different occasions and were informed that the week had finally rented and the front desk person gave us a figure for each night. We ended up getting a check from North Star for ******. In speaking with *********************, the rental manager, he said the it only rented the weekend and not the week. We also spoke to a ***** who had assured us it would rent. We have tried many times to resolve this and are now being told they did not rent the week. We feel like they lied and are scamming us as we now have no way to prove it. ********************* assured me he would check on the information and get back to me and that was almost two weeks ago. He is ignoring my calls. Today I called again and got ***** who told me people cancelled which is actually not what **** said. When I told her she had assured us it would rent, she put me through to ****** voicemail. If I could afford a lawyer, I would *** them for this. Don't make the mistake of buying into a time share there.
