My dogs were kenneled with this company from Tuesday May 28th until Sunday June 9th, 2024. My dogs were freshly groomed prior to going to the kennel. We never got any message from this business that anything was wrong. Upon picking up our dogs we arrived early at 3:45pm and they don't open till 4pm. At 3:48 one of our dogs was being brought out of the main office area and taken into the ****** area. We asked for them to be bathed prior to us picking them up, however our dog was still soaking wet and placed in kennel. Then at 3:52pm we saw the same guy take our other dog to the main office. Then at 4:03 he brought her out, where she saw me and came to me. I placed that dog in the car and he said he would go get our other dog. Upon bringing out the other dog as I was trying to put their beds in car, we noticed that **** had a large wound **** approximately 50cent piece on her neck. A few things concerned me at this point because she was still soaking wet from bath but the wound had dried blood surrounding it. When we question the kid who brought them out he seemed confused and stated he didn't know what happened. He would call owner. My issue is that they bathed her and was just going to let us go home without telling us about it. I just wanted to know what happened. When the owner came out she was very defensive asking if we ever kenneled them together before and that we were overreacting. Stating it was JUST A WOUND. She became aggressive and told me to come in and pay, and proceeded to tell me that she was ****ing me as to never return. All I wanted was for them to acknowledge my dog had been hurt. She then followed right behind me yelling at me wanting to know who referred me to them. I told her that was relevant. I turned and asked I just want to know what happened to our baby. She stated we don't watch them 24/7 and I have done this for 30 years. That doesn't matter, they refused to acknowledge anything happened to my pup. We had to take dog to vet for check

Will NEVER take my dogs back to this place. When we picked up our dogs, we questioned the gentleman that brought them out because one of our pups had a ************* piece soar on her neck. The guy said he was unsure because he didn't work with them moat of the time but that he would call the owner. When the owner arrived she was extremely defensive saying it was a woukd from our other dog and that we were overreacting. I proceeded to tell her that it wasn't there and why didn't anyone notice it? They bathed our doges before sending them home, you **uldn't miss the sore. It is also right at the **llar area. The owner became extremely defensive when. We explained these are our babies and want to know what took place, she proceeded to tell us we scared the kid who we asked about the sore she said he was terrified by us. We asked her to have him **me out because we didn't say anything to him but question what happened and he called the owner. I was really taken back by this owner. When I went in to pay she **ntinued to tell me she has done this for 30 years never had a problem....I was overreacting. I didn't respond to her...she then made a **mment that she was marking us as NOT TO EVER RETURN. I was pretty taken back by her behaviot. She followed me to my car asking who referred us, i was not going to respond because who reffered us had nothing to do with this. She ** tinued yelling at me who referred you....i proceeded to let her know that we will be takimg our dog to the vet to be looked at and will be in touch with her if thus was because of laxk of care.....

    Creature Comforts Kennels LLC Response

    06/20/2024

First off, I would like to preface this response with I welcome any reviews as a learning tool.  However,....This was the most bizzare interaction I have ever experiences in my 30 years. I wish there was a website to rate customers to warn businesses.  But lets go back to November when they first contacted my about boarding their two pups.  The email stated "my dogs play rough together and I get worried they won't play nice.  I am sure they will be fine, I just get worried about them behaving."  I was full for the dates they requested. I was contacted again by them in April for boarding for approx. 11 days.  We booked them for a morning drop off. We received a call that they could not make the morning hours drop off because, "they were not finished packing".  ****** said he would wait.  2.5 hours after closing they showed up.  They told him, again that they play rough.  He offered to board them separately to avoid conflict.  They refused.  The dogs did great during their stay.  Rambunctious young pups but otherwise completely normal.  They were scheduled for  a Sunday afternoon pick up with both having baths.  *** was working and had one of them in the tub when they showed up 15 minutes early.  He was not able to complete the bath entirely because she was too excited to see her owner. (thus not seeing the "wound").  Once they collected their pups they saw this tiny scab behind her ear.  They immediately tore into ***, yelling at him, what happened to my dog,  this wasn't here when we dropped them off, etc., etc.  (I have it on video) He called me terrified, which is when I came out.  They immediately started accusing us of negligence again stating this was not there when they dropped off.  After inspecting the wound it really looked like it was healing and scabbed over.  They said they would be taking her to the vet.  I said that it looked like is was caused by the other dog since it was behind the ear.  This really set them off.  "This is not from my other dog!!" (contrary to their first email to me).  At that point I had had enough.  They bullied *** and now me.  When I told them that, they demanded I bring him out so they could confront him.  NOPE.  They then got in their car to try and leave, but they still had not paid.  I stopped them. Yes, I wanted to know who referred them because that tells me who to trust.  Since I have not heard from them about their dogs "injury"  I assume that they got the all clear from their vet.
