Our garage floor (500sf) and ground floor living area (400sf) has sunken over the years. We decide to hired Seattle Foundation Repair to do the work. We chose Seattle Foundation Repair for because of BBB and their manager ******* assured me that they can do the repair within 1-2 days. We accepted a bid of $9426 to complete both garage floor and living area floor. We paid them a deposit of $4713. On Oct 21, the first day of work , they didn't get much done and was told they had some problems with the equipment. I was told they needed to order replacement parts and that took about 10 days. Finally they came back for the second time and was here for about 2-3 hours and left. Again they told me they will let me know later when they will come back. By this time a month has past and I still have a partially incomplete sunken living area floor and a untouched garage floor. Then they inform me that if I wanted to them to finish the job I would need to pay an additional $10,000 which would mean the total job is now about $20,000. In the meantime all my belongings is sitting outside in the rain for a month, thinking this was a 1-2 days job. I decided to hire another company Slabjack Geotechincal to do the job. Slabjack Geotechincal was able to complete the garage floor and the finish up the incomplete living area floor all in a day for $4800. Now Seattle Foundation Repair is sending me emails and phone call wanting me the pay them the balance. They want full payment for a job they did about 30% of the work and a full month of delay. I would like for Seattle Foundation Repair to refund 50% of the $4713 I already paid them.
