Our daughter registered for this farm's horse riding camp. We pre paid for **** July Aug ******* however my daughter missed one day this week of camp and her instructor sent very abrasive text messages (which are attached) regarding our parenting, our commitment to the farm and so on. These messages were sent all day long totaling over 30 text messages. After receiving those we were prompted to discuss the camp with our daughter. She states that the students rarely rode horses but, instead she stated that the instructor would have them fold clothes, do her personal dishes, put her personal groceries away and fix her lunch without offering the children food. The last incident our daughter got injured with a ****** nose and lacerated lip. We asked our daughter who was out with her during this incident and she said a couple of Jr. ****** NO adult supervision. The instructor then lied and said she was there but our daughter did not tell the instructor she was injured. However, our child was bleeding therefore why would she need to be told what happened. Upon further conversation with our child~ the instructor is often times inside the barn, in the "classroom" or in her house. Due to all of these issues we felt our child is in danger being at her farm as well as being exploited for labor that is not consistent with learning on the farm. We told her instructor she could keep ***** tuition payment but we would like ****, July and Aug back. She stated it is non refundable and she not longer has the money. Therefore, we will not be getting our money back. We did not leave her farm due moving, or because we did not want to go any longer. We left because her farm is unsafe for our child and other children.

    Halohills farm program

Were taking care of horses and goats and sheep and chickens and ducks and bunnies daily w horsemanship.

horsemanship program requires 2 day minimum commitment to participate in independent classes. Thats how we keep kids safe , they build their skills weekly. All parents are aware of the commitment before their kids start . This clients daughter was doing well with regular attendance and we looked forward to summer program. After a few months clients daughter had continually missed lessons and wasnt keeping up w class and coach was concerned about her safety and reached out to parents to confirm the horsemanship program commitment to ride and keep everyone safe was 2 day minimum commitment and continuing unexplained absences was affecting their daughters time here at the farm. They did take honest criticism well and now have lied about our fabulous farm program. We pride ourselves in our safety practices here at Halohills hills farm and most our students come 2-3 days per week minimum for 3-5 years , so we do a great job here. Our Summer program is for existing students only and reserved in January. This client asked us to hold her childs horsemanship spot until March without payment..As she said she might be moving out of area and we have a no refund policy.we did to accommodate her and things were going great! Her daughter wanted to ride horses above her skill level and coach explained that she would need to show up more . Thats our policy and its how we keep kids safe, learning and happy. Halo hills farm- friendship Horsemanship Leadership. Thats the absolute truth .About her daughter cooking my meals and cleaning house!! Lol! lies.. my many students and parents can attest that , her daughter is welcome but no lies and they need to follow policy.
