I took my 2013 **** SVT F-150 Raptor to Lk Auto Repair for an electrica issues earlier in 2024. I paid $850 with my Amex. The next day the issue occured agin in the same exact way. I contacted LK and was ignored. I then had 2 heart surgeries and was finally able to reach *******. She told me to be patient and she would take care of my vehicle. No one reached me. I wrote the current team. The new owner left me an angry voicemail, stating they just bought the land not the business and that I was screwiing with him. I pointed out that right on his website it states...we are LK sutomotive. 30 years if serving Bremerton customers...we are just under new management. Then a direct mail piece arrived (11/26/2024). I atached a picture of it. It says right on front in bold red letters..."LK AUTO REPAIR IS NOW COMPLETE AUTO REPAIR." That my friends is taking over a business and trading on its reputation and name to make money. I believe ***** and Employment Security would agree that this business is LK and responsible for its works, bills and debts. I was treated rudly by the new owner and will not trust him to touch my vehicle vehicle. I want a full refund.Business Response

Hello. I am responding to an email received 12/14/24. In regards to Complete Auto Repair/** Auto Repair. This is about a claim you are helping me with. The issue I have with Complete Auto Repair (CAP from here on). I apologize for sending a terse message to CAR prior to reaching you. The problem was the new owner was not telling me the truth. Its the crux of my dispute. The new owner(s) of CAR told me up front that he did not buy ** Auto Repair - only the real estate. He says he has no responsibility for ** work. He may think that's true but State regulations do not support this claim. He has created the very reason he is liable for ** Auto Repairs prior acts. He is using **s name, images/photos, mailing lists and data/records constantly. He is trading with the ** reputation and bragging of that 30 years of experience in the same location. He is in the same classification of businness. He is activly marketing. He is trading on their name and reputation. He is sending mailers and direct pieces to a great many in ************* that used ** regularly. He is using images of ************** building and surroundings, he is posting these images and content on his website and ******** pages. He referres to the place as ** Auto Repair/Complete Auto Repair. I have a dozen screen shots of this activity. The Departments of L & I and Employment Security all recognize that if you do these acts of self enrichment you have then accepted the liability of the prior operators work/products/labor/warranties/responsibilities. He has then assumed the warranty of responsibility. This is enforced by statutory recognition and regulations. This is precicely why I am demanding a refund. My claim meets these established rules. He legally owes me a refund as it is read. I found the original invoice showing paid in full. There are 5 line items on this invoice. I paid $854.68. I was charged $340.64 for them to diagnose electrical problems. The fifth paragraph then lists A diagnosis of the problem as TPMS concerns and billed another ****** to "Re-Program computer control modules. Saying they performed a relearn on computer system and programmed labor." The warning lights and display showed the same system failure less than 18 hours later. That was the 1st time I drove the truck home from CAR. With taxes and fees the total came to $854.69. This recipt is my warranty and/or coupon for refund. I want a full refund of this. I have invested twice as much of my time dealing with this. It is very simple. He owes me this money now. They are activly doing the exact same things that defend his responsibility and liabilities to make this refund..Please contact me for copies of my original invoice, samples of his mailers, images and photos shared on his website and social media account on ********. Thank you, ******* ******** ************.Initial Complaint

On December 04, 2023, I took my 97 Camry in for scheduled repairs. It needed an oil pump, and a power steering pump and replace the timing belt.. LK auto repair called me to tell me I also needed a water pump and new spark plugs and an ignition coil. I gave them the OK. I needed a reliable, car because I have been driving back-and-forth over Snoqualmie and ******* pass *********. The car was promised to be done on December 8 but it didnt get done until December 12. My son went and picked my car up on December 12 as I had come down with *****. I didnt drive my car other than going to ****** to fill my prescription because I was quite ill. That was the only time I drove it from the time it came back from the mechanics till I headed over to ********* for mediation. I checked all the fluids before I left the house and I checked them again when I stopped at North Bend for gas. All fluids were full. I got as far as mineral springs on, ******* pass, and the oil light came on. About five seconds later, the whole car shook. I had just enough time to pull it off onto the shoulder before it completely stopped. luckily a nice couple stopped because I had no cell service and they did. They called my sister to come get me and a tow truck to tow my car to *********. The tow truck driver said it sounded like it threw a rod. Once it got towed back to ********* I had a mechanic look at it, and they said the fluids were awful, but the engine wasnt getting any oil. It was his guess that the oil pump was put in improperly. I notified LK auto repair and they had me call their insurance company. I did so and they told me they would replace the oil pump but not the damage that the faulty oil pump caused. This was on January 2 and it is now February 15 without a car. I keep getting the runaround from LK automotive. They keep telling me they are going to call me and they never do. I am now without a car and have been without a car for well over a month. I want my money back! $5218.16Business Response

Lks Has not looked at her vehicle yet to find out what is actually wrong with it she told me **** wants a new car. she has since towed it out of shop to another location several blocks away

I did speak to ***** the owner of LK auto repair. After all the phone calls I made I never got a response until my letter was sent to the Better Business Bureau.
My car was never taken to the repair shop because after I explained to them what happened they wanted to make sure that it could be fixed before they left it at their shop and rather than have it towed to their shop and it just sit there. You cant even start the car. It is sitting right where the tow truck initially put it in a field next to Home in **************. ***** from Als auto repair came and looked at it at at the recommendation of their insurance company. He did so, and notified me that the car had catastrophic damage and that it was not going anywhere. He noted that all the fluids were full, but there was no oil getting into the engine. Do they think that was coincidence that after I had the oil pump and power steering pump replaced That this happened? He said he wasnt interested in having it towed to his shop and having it sit there instead of in a field. It hasnt moved since it was initially towed from ******* pass. The tow truck driver also called me and said when he tried to start the car, he turned it off quickly because it was his belief that the engine was blown. The whole car shook! The nice couple that stopped to help me on ******* pass, said the same thing.
**** at LK auto repair told me twice that he would have it towed to ********* to have it fixed and That I would not be responsible for paying for the tow. in fact, he called their tow truck driver while I was there to tell me that it would be picked up on feb 11. That never happened. Then he called me back to tell me that it would be picked up on February 16. That never happened either. Thats when I notified the Better Business Bureau. Then lo and behold, the business owner, whom *** never spoken to, or met called me ***** the owner said she was unaware of any of this happening. I was stunned. How could an owner of a shop not know that something like this is happening at her business. She was very combative. She told me if I wanted it towed back to ********* that it was on me. That I would have to pay to have it towed back to *********!!!. That is a 3 1/2 hour drive if there is no traffic. This seems absurd to me. It is because of their shoddy work that my car even had to be towed to *********. Which was the closest place to have it towed. Through no fault of my own I am without a car, and now she tells me I have to pay to have it towed back to *********? That is absurd! yes, I did request to have that oil pump replaced. That is in my original statement. I never said I wanted a new car. I said I needed a car. Ive already been without a car for seven weeks! I cannot have it towed back to ********* if I wanted to. I am going through a nasty divorce, and The only income I have is spousal support. I am nearly 64 longer able to work. I do have a doctors note to confirm this.
at this point, I want my money refunded, as well as the bluebook on my car. The repair cost was $5218.16. The bluebook on my car is $1652 for a total of. $6870.16.
I can tell by her response she has no idea what has transpired throughout this whole transaction. She said I had my car towed to the mechanic shop and that never happened either. I do in fact need a car. Have you ever been without a car for seven weeks? Well I have and it doesnt look like I will have any transportation in the foreseeable future. I did ask at one point when I went to their shop for a rental car and I got no response.
Considering all that has happened I have been very patient. And now I know Ive been taken advantage of. Please help.Customer Answer

I just spoke to ***** from LK auto repair again. Today feb 21, 2024 She said that she was getting a trailer to go bring my car back. I asked her how she was going to get onto the trailer. She told me that she was told that it starts. That is absolutely untrue. Whenever I ask questions, she is very evasive. Not willing to commit to paying for the cost of bringing the car back here or paying for the repairs.
First of all, she said that her insurance company paid for the tow to ********* after it broke down on the pass. That is 100% false. I asked her to prove to me that her insurance company paid for it and she said no. She saidProve to me that you paid for it. What kind of business does that? She kept insinuating that I was lying.
Then I asked her if she hauls it back to ********* and determines that the oil pump is bad which, by the way I had them replace, what was she going to do. She said she would replace the oil pump. I asked her if the engine is blown because of the bad oil pump are you going to pay for that. She said no. And she said she was not going to refund my money and if I wanted a rental car, I had to pay for it myself. WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS? This just keeps getting worse. I thought I might get somewhere with the business owner but sadly no.What good is a new oil pump in a blown engine? I have absolutely no faith in this company anymore. *****, the owner is very combative and evasive. She has absolutely no interest in making this right..She really has no idea of what has happened or what is going on. I asked her if she ever talked to **** about it and that had **** had promised to have it towed back here. She said no. I had previously wanted as a settlement the money for the cost of repairs which is $5218.16. Now I want added to that the cost of my car. Bluebook is $1692 For a total of $6870.16. I am a senior citizen and I was taken advantage of. I shouldve been advised that it is unwise to spend $5218 on a $1692 car. I feel I was an easy target especially now that she says she wont fix my car if the bad oil pump caused the engine to be ruined. Replacing an oil pump in a blown engine is like replacing the roof on a house that just burnt down. Please help me. I need transportation. And it is obvious even if they haul the car back here that they are not willing to fix it.Business Response

2/21 spoke with ***** twice this morning and we were going to go and pick up her car from ********* with our trailer bring vehicle back to shop she stated that her mom would meet me with key but it does not start or move what damage there is and advise her she wanted to argue about what would be replaced due to engine damage I told her i don't know until it got back to shop, after more confusion she then mentioned she is not interested in taking care of it she will settle in different way and hung up on me. I offered to go and get her car and bring back to our ************/21/24 and she declined.

I had lengthy conversations with ***** from LKs auto repair. She was very evasive, and was not willing to answer my questions. I would ask her pointed questions, and she flatly would not answer and she kept talking over me. I wanted to know if she hauled it back here on her trailer and discovered that the oil pump was bad, what was she going to do. She said they would replace the oil pump. I asked her if they would replace the damage that was caused by the bad oil pump. She kept evading this question until I pressed, and she finally said no. Unbelievable! There is really no sense in hauling my car back to ********* if they are not willing to fix the damage that the improperly replaced and or bad oil pump and or timing belt caused to the rest of the engine. What possible good could that do? That would be like putting a new roof on a house that just burnt down. Furthermore, I have absolutely no faith in her or her shop to get my car back running.
Ive had three people look at it, and all three said the same thing. The engine is blown Or it threw a rod. I dont know if that is the same thing. I am not interested in dealing with them anymore. She is not truthful in her responses. She twists words and questions. She even said that I told her that my car would start. That is an absolute lie! If my car would start, the tow truck, driver would not have had to pull it onto a platform rather than tow it behind his truck. If my car would start, then the mechanic in ********* that looked at it wouldve had me take it to his shop but when he went to where it was sitting in the field, he said he didnt want it towed to his shop because then it would just sit there taking up space . She kept implying that I was not being honest. I cant believe a business owner would treat a customer this way. I dont believe in her and I dont believe in her mechanics and I dont believe that they ever intend to make this right. I stand by my request for a full refund for, the cost of the repairs and the bluebook on my car Totaling $6870.16. I have been more than patient. We are going on eight weeks now that I have been without a car. When I asked if they would pay for the cost of renting a car, she said, no! She also wouldnt answer me when I asked if they were going to charge me for them, hauling the car back over here. She just flat wouldnt answer! I have absolutely no faith in them. Even if they did bring the car back here, I would not trust the work they do on it. I am done dealing with them. The reason I chose this shop was because their website had great reviews. It was foolish of me to only look at the reviews that were on their own personal website. Upon further investigation from other sites that have reviews, they are not a five star shop at all!DESIRED OUTCOME FULL REFUND OF THE COST OF REPAIRS PLUS THE BLUEBOOK ON MY CAR TOTALING $6870.16
Not only am I out the cost of the The repairs they charged me that subsequently ruined my car, I NO LONGER HAVE A CAR! What if I were to get sick. Would I have to call an ambulance? This is ridiculous.

At this point after dealing with her deceptive practices and unwillingness to answer, pointed questions, I have absolutely no faith in her or her mechanics. ***** did not say that I had to To pay to have it hauled back to *********. However, when I asked her that Question directly she never answered me. She flat refused to answer me. So I dont trust that she wouldnt charge to have it hauled back to *********. Furthermore, Im not interested in her shop or her mechanics doing any more work on that car. They have already ruined it, and I do not trust that they would be honest in their findings. Throughout this whole ordeal, I have found her to be deceptive and evasive. I do not believe this to be a reputable business. I never got a response until I sent a letter to the Better Business Bureau. That was already after I had been nearly 7 weeks without a car. Now Im going on two months.

I am rejecting this response because:They have proven to be untrustworthy as well as their mechanics I am not interested in them bringing my car back to their shop in ********* where they would most assuredly discover by their mechanics that it was something else other than the oil pump, and or timing belt that caused the catastrophic damage to my car even though three other people told me what had happened. If their mechanics were any good, this wouldnt have happened in the first place. If they were a reputable business, they would have advised me not to spend $5000 on a $1500 car. She requested the specific work to be done as it was looked at by another shop

Took my car to ******** to be fixed May 17th 2023, we agreed I would pay half the estimated cost ($873) and the other half when the car was fixed. It is now January 8th **** and nothing has been fixed. I've called them every week over the past 8 months and most of the time a secretary answers telling me **** (the mechanic) will call me back and he hasnt once. When **** actually answers hes vague and doesnt give details. **** has told me multiple times that he ordered the wrong part as an excuse. Ive been hearing oh the part will arrive next week! Since June. Eventually i found out that he took it to a local ****** dealer for them to install the part. Ive spoken to that dealer multiple times and they say that ******** wont call them back either and that they never received a part from them. All I want is my car to run.Business Response

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this business, please let the business know that you contacted BBB for a BBB Business Profile.
As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
