Summit Excavation dug three inspection holes for a PERC test on the property on 06/25/2024 as stated on the invoice. There is no contract. Invoice with initial late charge of $131.38 received 11/15/2024. Subsequent invoice with additional late charge received 02/05/2025 with 2nd additional late charge of $84.85. Total late charges of $216.23 on a $1,000 invoice that wasn't sent for 5 months after work. I have offered to pay the $1,000 three times for work performed and gotten new invoices with more late charges. Summit Excavation charges late fees on an invoice that wasn't sent for 5 months. The owner, **** ******, has now threatened to put a lien on the property if I don't pay the bill, including the bogus late charges. He sent an invoice after 5 months stating that there are late charges incurred because he didn't send a timely invoice. Considering Summit Excavation's practice of not returning phone calls and not showing up at the property when scheduled, for either consultation or the ************************ inspection, this may be a common practice for Summit Excavation. It is entirely possible that others have received late bills with additional bogus late charges attached. I have supporting documentation (email and text) for this claim.
