    We signed a contract earlier last year around April 2023 with an engineer for splitting a parcel - working with the City of Burien/Seatac, the engineer has barely provided any of the documents he said he would. He either 1) don't reply to email/text or 2) keep saying he's working on the documents or 3) provide incomplete documents to the City of ******, ask for more time, then don't deliver the documents when it's due. So far we've paid $22,800, some through Zelle (per his request) and some via checks. 3500 Zelle 4/4/23, 3500 Zelle 5/1/23, 3500 Zelle 6/14/23, 4500 (check) 6/30/23, 5800 (check) 7/27/23. He has not delivered the most crucial document to the City of ******, *** Report, which was the main reason we had to hire an engineer because it can only be done by one and had to have a licensed stamp. He said he had a partner who's working with him, he sent me a copy of their degree which has their engineer number and I looked it up on the government website, it's real and I even talked to the person. After weeks of no response, I threaten to take him to court and file a complaint, the engineer then reply and then said "I'll submit the docs this week" for weeks and weeks with no actual result. His excuses were either he's sick (which he only reply when I reached out to the City AND his partner after he was *** for almost a month) then the most recent was that he had kidney stones, he still text and say he's workin on it. Last text I received was on 5/31/24 "I will get it done and resubmit the *** documents by this weekend." I have not received any documents nor another text since.
