I purchased a vehicle from Bayside auto sales on march 1, 2025. After purchasing the vehicle, I began to realize that there were numerous issues with the vehicle. I took the vehicle into ******* of ******* to have it looked at and to my surprise I was informed that this vehicle was deemed a total loss and has a salvage title, The horn on the vehicle does not work because of the accident and the car does not have working airbags. I was not informed of any of this when purchasing the vehicle nor was it in any of my sales contract, they also have me paying for gap insurance in the loan, but gap insurance would not cover this car as it was deemed a total loss. I reached out to Bayside requesting they return my $1,000 down payment and take the car back and get me out of the loan that I am now in for the next 36 months on a car that is completely unsafe to be driving. Selling a car to someone and not disclosing that it had a salvage title, and also nonworking airbags, is illegal and I would request the help of the Better Business Bureau to resolve this issue and get me out of this loan and get my money back. I wouldve never purchased this vehicle. Had I known that it was deemed a total loss and was not safe for myself and my child to be driving in .

The vehicle purchased by **** ***** does not have a total loss, salvage or rebuilt title. The Washington ***************************** has confirmed this. Per our conversation with **** ***** on March 19th, 2025, Kady was unaware of the BBB complaint. Her friend ******* ****** *************) calls Bayside to complain about the vehicle having a total loss, salvage or rebuilt title. She pretends to be Kady when making these calls to Bayside Auto Sales. We are assuming that ****** ****** is the one who filed the BBB complaint, not **** *****.

I purchased a vehicle from them on 5/10. Upon buying the vehicle I noticed no cold air coming from the vehicle. When to mechanic and was told it needed replacement. It would more than what the vehicle is worth. Went back to dealership with my concerns and asked for them make it right. Manager nor owner would speak to me. The lender is even hesitant to continue with the loan

4/07/24 We went to Bayside Autosales and bought what we were told was an all wheel drive hybrid 2014 RAV4 but as we got home we noticed it was a fully electric 2 wheel drive car. Before the purchase, the vendor assured us the car could run on gasoline which ended up being false. We soon called the dealer and he said hed call back if there was anything he could do but never did. I called again and another person told me there was nothing they could do. Then we went to the dealer to try and get a refund or exchange where we were told we could return the car for $5000 to use on any other car on the lot. Since that was a loss of $7,600 we decided it wasnt the best option and wanted a different solution. We were met with a dismissive attitude , refusal to manager/owners information, and he didnt even want to give us the time of day to talk about the matter further. The electric car I got takes ***** hours to charge for 60 miles which is no good for me as my job requires me to drive over 60 miles each day. There were 3 other people with me at the dealer to help during the whole ordeal.

********************* came into Bayside Auto Sales specifically asking to look at the 2014 ****** RAV4 EV Sport Utility. She asked about the drive train & was told the vehicle is a front wheel drive. We printed the CARFAX & gave that to her. The Carfax shows ELECTRIC FRONT WHEEL DRIVE on page one. Additionally, the vehicle has the word ELECTRIC on the front doors and the letters EV above the front grill (see attached pictures)

Bayside offered ********************* the opportunity to trade the 2014 ****** Rav4 EV in & choose another vehicle to purchase, but the customer didn't want to pay ********************** tax on a different vehicle in a separate transaction.

I am rejecting this response because:
The representative that sold me the car told me that it was a hybrid. I am willing to go back to the dealership and trade the car for another one. This car does not work for me. I told them I drive a lot for my job and they said it would work for me but it only gives me 68 miles a charge, that is not enough for my day. I investigated and that cars battery is only good for 10 years so the battery no longer works. This car is basically useless so I am willing to tarde for another car.
      Sincerely,

We are more than happy to try to help you out in getting a different vehicle. You did come in before trying to trade it in but you didn't want to come to an agreement on the vehicle & left, it could have been a misunderstanding but if you'd like to call & ask for a manager I'd love to set up a time for you to come in so we can work on trading you out of the vehicle. My name is *****, you can ask for me as I am one of the managers here.

On December 14th 2023 my wife and I purchased a 2008 Kia ****** from Bayside Auto Sales. During our visit we were told the car had passed Bayside's 35 point inspection with no major issues. I asked to see the inspection report and was denied. We trusted the sales rep and purchased the car. We paid $2000 down with a total cost after extras and financing of $11,038.40. On December 21st my wife took the car to ********************* to have the tires and brakes inspected when we learned that the **** sensor needed to be replaced and there was apparent collision damage that we were not informed of. On December 28th my wife took the car in to the local Kia ********** for an oil change, basic preventative maintenance and an inspection. She then learned the car had major issues including: visible oil leaks from the oil pan and valve cover gaskets, check engine codes in the computer (the check engine light was NOT illuminated during our test drive and has needed to be replaced) as well as the aforementioned collision damage which had caused damage to the right control arm. After of learning of these issues I called Bayside to see what they would be willing to do to reconcile and I was denied any help (I admit I was angry and used profanity as the call ended.) We have since needed to have the oxygen sensors replaced and the check engine light is now back on again and we have a further maintenance inspection scheduled for Monday March 4th. At this moment we have spent a total of $4,594.55 in repairs with further repairs still needed as the engine light is back on and the control arm has yet to be fixed. After I filed a complaint with the attorney general Bayside contacted me. I have been speaking with **** from Bayside and he and I agreed on a total payment from Bayside to me of $2,250.00 to cover a portion of our maintenance costs. **** informs me that the check has been printed, but the manager who I initially spoke to, ************ believe, refuses to sign it. Please help.

I am rejecting this response because:
Invoices for all work previously completed were attached to the original BBB complaint.  My WIFE bought the car from you and she didn't feel comfortable taking with you all about this, so she asked me to do so.  ******* so called help was to say, and I'm quoting him, "We will never pay a ************." I called back and asked for **** because he is the one who contacted my wife and said the owner wanted us to call him and talk about how to make it right.  We still have the voicemail he left identifying himself as your representative.  I didn't call back simply to avoid *****.  As far as the CARFAX information is concerned I am contacting ************************* next to ask that the work be listed on Carfax.  Again, I have the invoices and receipts from all work completed thus far and there is more work scheduled this Thursday.

On May 25th I bought a 2007 Dodge Ram **** 4x4 with a 5.7 HEMI from Bayside. Four days later on May 29th coming home from ********** the engine seized up on me on the freeway in Vantage Washington. I had it towed 154 miles to ******* which cost me $570. They did the repairs with no cost to me giving me a loaner car. 3 and half weeks later on June 20th I got the truck back. Last Sunday on July 10th it wouldnt start so I had it towed back to my house and of course now The dealership is not willing to help me. I havent even had the truck in my possession for a full four weeks yet without it breaking down. Ive spent almost $1000 in tow fees. I put $7000 down on this vehicle. Now I know being a used vehicle that it would eventually have problems. But no one expects to have problems as soon as you take possession of the vehicle. Im a single mother, I bought the second vehicle so that my son and I would be able to get to work without any problems. Now my son is not able to work because I need to use his car to get to work. I had it towed Monday morning to Buds automotive and transmission in Marysville and they still havent been able to diagnose it. Im super frustrated and stressed out. Hope to hear from you soon.Thank you *****************************

I purchased a used 2006 ******* Santa Fe on Feb. 1st for around $7,000 As-Is. I was told the vehicle was mechanically sound and that they had put $6,000 worth of repairs into the vehicle themselves (but could not provide info as to what they repaired) it had a clean carfax and detailed mechanic history so I believed the car was in good condition and was under the impression that no major repairs were needed. About a month later I noticed the back windows leaking so I had that repaired over the last couple days (june *****, 2022) and also had them perform an oil change and do a multipoint inspect to ensure I was road safe to drive to **** in 10 days. During the inspection they found a major oil leak of the Valve cover and my AC was missing multiple parts and needed to be rebuilt, the total for repairs exceeding $3,000. It is believed that these issues have been going on PRIOR to my purchase. Not to mention that they (The mechanic) also believe the window leak was hidden from me, I spent $950 today on repairs and diagnostics. I believe the condition of this vehicle was misrepresented by Bayside Auto Sales and that they witheld important repair information from me. The amount of repairs needed are substantial enough in monetary value that this should have been disclosed to me.

To Whom It May ******************************************* purchased a 2006 ******* Santa Fe from Bayside Auto Sales on 2-1-22.
Bayside Auto Sales used a 3rd party certified mechanic, Auto Diagnosters, to inspect the vehicle before it was available for retail purchase. The vehicle was inspected on 1-19-22. There were no leaks or A/C problems at the time of the inspection. Please see attached invoice from Auto Diagnosters.

Ms. **** did not contact the dealer regarding any problems with this vehicle for a full five months after she purchased the 06 ******* Santa Fe. The customer acknowledged in her Attorney General complaint letter that she signed the AS IS forms.
Furthermore, had Ms. **** reached out and asked for help regarding the vehicles issues, we would have done our best to help her out.

I am rejecting this response because:

There is no way that the ** had no issues because parts were completely missing from the vehicle, no compressor and all that is left are broken wires. I also just spent $2100 replacing the timing belt because there was no history or sticker on the engine showing it had been done which meant it was ****** miles overdue when sold to me. I will provide a statement from my mechanic who is positive that the oil leak is a historic problem and that the ** needs a complete rebuild.

      Hello there,

I was wondering if it is possible to add additional documentation to my complaint against bayside Autosales - Complaint ID : ********

My mechanic provided my invoices for repairs I have had done on the vehicle, as well as additional repairs needed, all which contradict the condition the car was claimed to be in when sold. He also offered to discuss the matter with anyone involved as he is very confident that these were all pre-existing issues, his name is *** and can be reached at **************
