Date of service was 7/2/24. We hired them to scope the septic system of the home we were purchasing. On the 2 separate phone calls I had with them, they quoted me $475 ($200 for the labor and $275 for the camera). On the date of the service the guys got to work, said it looked great and there were no issues. I left to pick up my son and my husband stayed for the rest of the service. It took about 40 minutes total and the worker asked my husband if he wanted to pay now or call it in, and my husband said he would pay now and verified that it was $475 and the worker said, oh no its only $400. So my husband was like great! The worker showed my husband the total for the service on an ipad and it said $400 so he gave him our credit card and paid for the service. A week goes by and we realize we never got an emailed receipt like they stated we would receive, or a copy of our invoice, but we didn't think much of it. On 7/12 my husband and I were checking our accounts and noticed that they had charged us $2,000 on 7/2/24. It was late and they were closed so we called first thing on 7/13 and asked why they had charged that amount. My husband spoke to ***** who was adamant that the price was the $2000 we had been charged and that there was nothing she could do. My husband said no, thats not correct and told her what we had been quoted and about the $400 he allowed to be charged to the card with the worker. ***** said we would have to wait until later that afternoon for her to speak with the worker and figure what the deal was. Around 4:15 my husband called them back because he hadn't heard anything back and ***** said that the worker was wrong and that the service cost was $2000 because they cleared the drain field. We were never told that they were going to do that, nor did they mention that they did it while on our property, and we did not approve our card to be charged for the $2000. Speaking with other septic company's the $2000 is well above average price.
