I took my daughter's **** ***** K20 Truck to Streetrodz in *********, **. Shared the most important issue is installing radiator fan sensor to not overheat. We made an agreement to keep the vehicle indoors with all new parts out of the weather & can't lock the doors. Several days passed. Service manager, *****, which is a friend of mine for ***** years +. He use to work at **** so there was a comfortable leaving it. When I got the phone call, he asked me if I ever had troubles starting the truck. I said "NO, I NEVER HAVE, STARTED FIRST TIME EVERY TIME." He said that he FIXED WIRING ON ALTERNATOR done incorrectly, which I didn't ask for. Now, it doesn't start hardly at all without several attempts. So, instead of fixing it, he broke it. I saw all the ***** NEW PARTS I HAD PURCHASED TO SHOW HIM to get a quote on were SOAKED, including electrical and the instructions I am not able to open any longer. ***** told me it was left out in the rain. Shocked. Now I don't know what is going to work or not work until I find out from having it installed at a new location. The hood now has fist **** dents in it where one has to push to open it in the front middle. I texted him to make him aware and asked if he had issues getting the hood open and he must of had to hit it with his fist. No response. So, now damage to be concerned with as well. I googled how long it would take to do the job. 1 hour. I was charged 5 hours. So, a $100 or so project turned into $759.87. I took the truck and showed two other shops and both agreed that it should be 1 hour or less. I saw the whole project done on a 12 minute video. I asked for a $564.87 refund. I based that off 1 hour for project, giving benefit of doubt on .5 hrs on connecting a wire for alternator that is now not working as it did. Then refund the difference. At $130 x 1.5 = $195. So, $759.87 - $195 = $564.87. I feel I am being generous by offering to pay .5 hours for something that wasn't asked for & is now broken. Should only be 1 hr.

I am rejecting this response because: of several reasons. Their own response says, "It would be a disservice to our patrons and it's dishonest." Let's start there with this company as the headline to explain their actions, services, and attempt to rip me off. First, my daughter does not have a "Blazer", it is a K20. That was the first thing that I discussed is that it was a **** ***** K20 with a 454 engine. So, I did disclose this from the start rather than their response that I "Failed to mention" a 454 engine. I did not receive any stock quote from the business. I received a quote directly from the service manager, ***** with the vehicle right in front of him. So, the software that they use was never pulled up. ***** also quoted me $130 an hour on the phone and in person. I have before and after pictures of the hood because I took pictures of the truck. There is an indent in the middle of the hood where the latch is and it looks like someone hit it with their fist. If they didn't open it with their fist, then the indents indicate otherwise. Their response even says that "this hood was difficult to open". Their solution to opening the hood caused the dent however they choose to get the "difficult" hood to open. There was not any mention of a no warranty on their work if I brought my own parts. How in the world would I have drove the truck to the business if the alternator was not wired in at all. That doesn't make any sense. I DROVE THE ***** TO THE BUSINESS! Alternator has to be wired to start and run the truck. I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES WITH THE ALTERNATOR UNTIL THIS BUSINESS DAMAGED IT! It does not take 2 hours to diagnose installing a cooling fan. I also shared where the job was suppose to take 1 hour online, as well as, confirmation from multiple shops the day I got it back with this ridiculous bill. I did NOT ask for anyone to touch my alternator, so there was no reason to charge me an hour to rewire it. I can understand a diagnosis fee at a shop, but they charged 2 x $140 diagnosis fee, meaning $280 to figure out how to install a cooling fan that takes an hour to complete. Not ok. I didn't bring it to any other shop like their example, therefore there was no way I had an opinion that I "didn't want the first shop working on your vehicle". This also goes for "they were unable to for some reason", "needed a second opinion", or "felt doubt in the diagnostics". I think the ones that are "confused" is the shop that has MANY customers and got me confused with someone else because I never took the truck to another shop before taking it to them. I ABSOLUTELY TOLD ***** VERBALLY WITH A PHONE CALL THE SAME DAY & WROTE HIM TEXTS REGARDING THE CONCERN! The shop does not need to be open to call and text my own friend about the issue. Possibly the shop was not aware of it until the next day, but ***** ABSOLUTELY WAS CONTACTED THE SAME DAY! I DO NOT FEEL I WAS FAIRLY BILLED & WILL DISPUTE THEIR ACCUSATIONS AS NECESSARY AS WELL. Ridiculous.

I now have a growing list of costs that are associated to FIXING WHAT THIS SHOP CAUSED when I was giving this shop a chance to earn respectable business, however, I will never go back there again & encourage ALL TO STAY AWAY FROM THE DISHONESTY ASSOCIATED TO STREETRODZ IN *********, **! THEY TRY TO OVERCHARGE & GO BACK ON THEIR WORD. STAY CLEAR. BE AWARE!!!

    Sincerely,
