      Dont bank with Cascade Federal Credit Union! Ive been a member for ************************************************************** my life. They charged me $90 for non sufficient funds in a transaction I didnt authorize. Every bank Ive ever dealt with in the past knew how to handle fraud. Cascade Federal Credit Union went with extortion instead of trying to help me. I was threatened that if I didnt repay the $90 that was stolen from me they would ruin my credit with ChexSystems so I couldnt get a checking account anywhere else.

      Mr. *****, thank you for reaching out regarding your claim of unauthorized transactions and the resulting non-sufficient funds fees. We have carefully reviewed your account, and our records indicate that the charge you are disputing (processed through ****************) was previously authorized by you several times and as recently as October 2024. Because these transactions were initially approved, they are not considered fraudulent, and do not qualify for reimbursement or provisional credit.


      Additionally, per **** regulations, checking accounts may not remain open and negative for an extended period of time. If an account remains negative beyond 45 days, our policy states that we must close and charge off the account, which would be reported to ChexSystems. This reporting may impact your ability to open checking accounts at other financial institutions in the future. To ensure transparency, we always inform members of these consequences, which are also outlined in your Membership and Account Agreement. Our records also show that one of our representatives assisted you via our online banking chat, providing details on this policy and outlining options to bring your balance positive, which you successfully did.
