On September 30th, 2023 I shopped at HMart and wanted to use my reward point that I have been saving it from past purchases. It was over **** points so I wanted to use **** points to redeem $50. But cashier only gave me discount $10 for taking my **** points. I asked cashier and customer service but they kept saying that they don't know why but they were told to give just $10 per purchase no matter how many points the customer used. They acknowlege that ******************** advertise their reward card as below :For every $1.00 spent at Hmart, 1 point will be added to your smart card.Point redemptions will be available every ***** points for a $10 reward certificate (Visit the Hmart stores for the point redemption). Here is the link to their reward card benefit ******************************************************** I belive this is stealing money from their royal customers and this should not be accepted.HMart must refund cutomers reward money that they have been illegally acquire from customers.

Please understand that Smart Card and H Point Card are different.

but since there's no policy informed to ******** customers, it is still a scam that they choose how much point redemption for cash rewards.

When and where did they say whether how much point you use you only get $10 per person?I shop a lot there but never seen it.

I still want my point money back.

I tried to grab a bag for my groceries and the cashier rudely screamed in my face, EXCUSE ME! NINE CENTS! as if it were coming from her paycheck. Bag fees do not apply EBT SNAP (food stamps) users, so she was extremely ignorant and rude for no reason. This occurred on Saturday, July 17 2023 at 2:45PM PT.

    To whom it may concern,

This is the response for customers complaint request 20201450

This is a follow up on customers complaint as customer tried to grab a bag by herself and the cashier informed price to her.
Our POS system automatically waives a bag fee which is $0.08 at end of transaction when customer pays with the *** card. However, when customer uses different payment methods such as credit and/or debit card that is not *** card, it will charge customer a bag fee and it will not be waived.
To better explain, we have attached a sample of when paid with *** card how it automatically waives a bag fee at the end of transaction. Please see the attachment.
In addition, all cashier staffs have been trained once again to better serve our customers with kindness. We will try to prevent this from happening again.
We apologize for any inconvenience it may have caused. We will provide better quality customer services.
For any question or further assistance, please contact us at ************.

    Thank you,

    Complaint: 20201450

I am rejecting this response because I stated in my initial complaint that I DID USE an EBT card! Yet, the cashier screamed at me and would not me take a bag even though bag fees are WAIBES for ebt users!

    Sincerely,

I would like a refund and compensation. They treat EBT users horribly and discriminate against those on SNAP.
