    My family sought out services from Bright Now Dental in Sandusky in 2021. My husband and I were both told that we needed a number of fillings (11 for me 5 for him), and both told that we needed a deep cleaning for our teeth and gums that would cost over $500 each. We had the fillings done and both left with more tooth problems than when we arrived. We decided against the deep cleaning and decided to find a new dental office. Our next dentist told us that we did not need the deep cleaning. We haven't been back to Bright Now since 2021. A few months ago (in 2024) I started receiving letters from Bright Now saying I was owed a refund. I filled out the paper and returned it. The amount I was due was not included on the papers. A few weeks later I received 2 checks in the mail from Bright Now. Each for $74.85. I didn't understand this as it came with no explanation, so I deposited both checks. A few weeks later, I received a bill for $74.85. Later that week I received a call from Bright Now. I answered and they told me that I owed them $74.85 because there was a problem with my insurance and it wasn't covering a procedure I had done. I explained to the woman on the phone that was impossible and asked to talk to her supervisor, and I left a message. This feels dishonest at its best and like an absolute scam at its worst. Please remove this amount from my account, and stop calling and mailing me. If i had talked to ONE person who was considerate or helpful-- we wouldn't be here. If one item that came in the mail explained things properly, we wouldn't be here. Your office is crooked. Get it together.

    I am the responsible Dental Insurance Policy holder of FEDVIP ***************** Insur. We receive dental care from Bright Now Dental located at ******************************************************************, In Dec 2022 my husband had dental work completed involving a bridge replacement. We paid the full bill during the first visit (at the time the bridge mold was created/ordered) and more than 6 months later we received a bill requesting additional payment. They stated the insurance didn't pay. After numerous phone calls to get additional information Bright Now could not tell me why so I contacted Dominion who explained the claim was denied because the dental procedures performed/claimed by the Bright Now were not a dental necessity based on the documentation submitted. I asked :why would the dental office provide unnecessary treatment. My husband's bridge was failing and a new one was needed and the Dentist said this dental work was required." Dominion explained a peer-to-peer review is needed. I contacted ***** (Bright ********** Manager) and explained what Dominion said. She was going to have the peer-to-peer review completed. That was over 5 months ago. I continue to get phone calls and bills. I have never in 30 years had a claim denied. All of our dental care has been at Bright Now with the same insurance. I have called nearly weekly for months and while ***** responded to my first two calls she no longer comes to the phone and has her staff advise me that she is "working it". This is causing me mental anguish. I have an 850 credit score and pay all of debts on time. Additionally, my daughter who is no longer on my insurance (turned 26) is having the similar issues. They are sending her my bills and sending me her bills. All bills are showing 90day late even though it is the first time receiving the bill. I also need of a crown/cleaning but fearful to return to this clinic because of the billing issues. I wanted try the BBB in hope that I can get resolution.

    Went in because a crown fell off. I was told the crown could not be replaced because the tooth had broken. I got an estimate for three options and chose one of the options which they could not start due to the need to extract a tooth. They told me it would be a month or so to complete the work. I paid my share, $2,385, and made an appointment to get started. They billed my insurance and were paid for work they hadn't done - when questioned they bullied me until I told them I would not be having the work done - then they threatened to charge me 25% anyway and that I would be able to have the work done elsewhere. When I filed a complaint, they retaliated by refusing to refund the money that I had paid because I had filed a complaint with my insurance.

    Nov. 15th, 2023 My wife prepaid for dental work. Part of that, $2475.00, was on our **** card. The front desk lady suggested that my wife apply for a Care Credit card for zero interest. Nov. 18th, after getting approval for the Care Credit card we asked that the $2,475.00 be charged to the new card and stop payment or otherwise reimburse the amount back to our ****. After two weeks we asked when the amount would be returned. We were told it would take four too six weeks. Early January we again asked about the reimbursement. They then said that the corporate office would wait until our insurance clears all charges submitted. We told them that the insurance had already cleared. We were then told that evidently their corporate office had not received the conformation.Jan. 24th we took our insurance statement to Bright *********** We were told that the office cannot issue a refund. They said it has to come from their corporate office. Our Dec. statement showing the charges had processed was of no interest to them and no copies were made. In asking for their corporate phone number, we were informed that they would just refer us back to her (the local office). We were given the number after demanding it.Jan. 25th we contacted the corporate office. They said that all reimbursements go through local offices. Nothing was resolved. We were told to contact our credit card company so that they can help get the reimbursement.The $2,475.00 is an over payment that should not be held hostage pending approval by the insurance anyway.

    My daughter and I were patients at the ****************** Bright Now location. I applied for financing for her braces, which they are still taking money out of my account. My daughter has had her braces since October of 2022 and after a few months, the facility did not have an Orthodontist to see my daughter. So she went months without being seen. When they finally hired a new Ortho, she had an issue with the previous treatment and wanted to remove the braces to start over. I cancelled my daughters last appointment because of the customer service. I am not completely satisfied with that facility and should not owe the remaining of the money because the braces are no longer serving a purpose. I was told that an additional extender is recommended, but the previous Orthodontist did not think it was necessary. I am not pleased with them. Also, I pay out of pocket for everything that my insurance does not cover. I had an appointment on a Friday and a Monday for myself, but that Friday morning I woke up feeling ill, I wasn't sure if it was Covid so I called them to let them know what was going on, at the time of the call, they understood, that I did not want to be seen if it was *****, to prevent the spread, I ended up with a viral infection but I was not well. SO I cancelled both appointments. However, when I called to reschedule those appointments, I was told that since I canceled at the last minute, that I would have to pay $150 reschedule fee, plus the charges that would be due if I would receive services. I do not like nor appreciate this type of customer service. When I called for answers regarding both my and my daughters matters, the receptionist was rude and got smart with me. When I arrived at the appointment, she saw me and left her desk without saying a word. I requested a call from her supervisor, since she was busy that day, she NEVER called me back.

    ****: ************** Patient: *********** 8/1/22 Dental Exam and X-Rays supposed to be fully covered by insurance.Was called by ************ in 9/12/23 about outstanding fees (*****) for services although any balance not covered by insurance was paid during the visit. It seems prices were altered, according to the documentation I received, on 10/1/22. Received itemized statement 9/28/23 showing an additional price entitled 'Adjust On Secondary Ins - Payment, Exceed Expected Amount' for an additional $32 dated 10/1/22.Totals in Debits and Credits do not add properly together to reflect the numbers and balances and expressed in their statements. All charges, prices and payments were made prior to my treatment. I have NEVER had this sort of thing occur with a dentist, and this has happened to both my wife and myself. This sounds like something a class-action lawsuit would be a great solution for.

    In January of 2022 I received upper dentures from Bright now dental on ************* in *****. These services were 100% covered by my insurance, Bright now dental did not file the proper paperwork with my insurance. They keep billing me for $871. My insurance has contacted them three times in the past year to let them know that they are the ones at fault and that I do not owe them any money. I am concerned that they are going to affect my credit

    The business is trying to charge me even though I refused service. Keeps spamming me about x-rays. Take me off your mailing list.

    In June 2021, I had to have all of my teeth extracted. I went to BrightNow Dental on Tower Rd for this service. I woke up during the procedure because the Dr didn't give me enough medication to keep me under. I woke up screaming because I felt the pliers on my teeth as he was pulling them out. He had to stop and I ended up going somewhere else to have the rest of the work done. My mother was sitting in the lobby and she heard me screaming. The office manager ****** was at the front desk and when my mother asked her what was going on, she told my mother i was just feeling a little pressure. ****** wasn't even back there to see what was going. She then tried to say I had a bad reaction to the medication. I was very much aware of what was going on and i was reacting to waking up to pliers being in my mouth pulling out teeth. i was extremely angry. My headwrap was on the floor and i didn't take it off. They did. I had to go back to get fitted for dentures and ****** lied again saying that she gave my mother the dentures. That was not true because at that time it had not been determined if i was going to another provider or back to them to complete the procedure. I had to call my mother and put her on speaker phone to tell them that they did not give her the dentures. They reordered the bottoms. So fast forward to now. I have not gone back to them and never will. That was traumatic. I found out that i overpaid them by over $300. I was told I would have the money at the end of May. I didn't get it. I followed up and they said it was overnighted. To this day I still have not received my refund. I believe this place needs to be out of business. They are full of liars. I couldn't find an atty to take the case to *** them for malpractice or i would have. There needs to be some accountability for their horrendous behavior and treatment of others. That is why I am filing this complaint so others will know just how awful Bright Now "Butchers" is!

    May 2023 My name is ***************************** I have a credit with them for $65.00 I will like it credit to my debit or mailed. I will not be going to there office anymore manager is rude and there not professional. Been calling them and went to there office a few times seems to be closed.
