This is a long overdue praise for Washington Energy Services (***) customer service, pricing and workmanship. I first hired them in 1999 to install vinyl windows throughout my house, which are still in perfect condition. Incidentally, I called them 20 years later to ask where I could find a replacement lock that had broken, and they responded quickly, coming out to repair it for a nominal ********* late, 2020, I needed to replace my hot water tank, and they sent out the very knowledgeable *******, who showed me various options. She answered my many questions and I settled on a heater with a booster that best fit my needs. In December, 2023 my gas furnace gave out so I purchased a new one through ***. I had a minor issue with the fan several months later, and they returned to rectify the situation. Over the past several months, I've had excessively high gas bills and when I called ***, they sent out manager, **** (and a team in-training) to troubleshoot the issue. When I again had a high bill two months later, **** returned with his team and stated the culprit was the outdated thermostat (which they had not initially installed). *** installed a new thermostat free of charge, stating it was the right thing to do. To say I was pleased is an understatement, and am very appreciative for going over and above, something I find rare in today's business world. *** has consistently delivered excellent service and superior products. They also offer rebates for energy efficient products. I particularly like that they are family owned and have been in business since 1957. Their employees are experienced & personable, and appear to be in for the long haul, which speaks volumes of their management/owners. I will not go anywhere else for the services that they offer, and am grateful for their outstanding customer service over the past 25 years.Review from Kurt S

Washington Energy Services took GREAT care of my Mother, and Mother-in-Law, for replacement of Furnaces. Negative Reviews must be isolated cases. My family members were taken great care of and quality work was conducted in both installations. Courteous install technicians, No Problems whatsoever. When our homes need new equipment, I START with Washington Energy Services. I trusted these folks to take care of my Mom's. They did not let us down - *** - 11/17/24Review from Matthew A

Happy to taken tens of thousands of dollars for an install but it's too much to ask for them to check their work is performing as it should. Our 2 year old HVAC is obviously low on what should be lifetime refrigerant but they've only sent techs that aren't qualified to actually even check it. I heard the tech on the phone with their boss talking about leaks but then refused to admit there was one. Typical excuses about how it could be the brand new coils and not their own install work but no effort in actually figuring out the problem. My guess is they are doing this on purpose to stretch out the fix past the free maintenance period so they can charge us. Now they want to charge to send a senior tech to fix a bad install? We're sitting in an 82+ degree house that's set to 70 degrees after paying 20k+ for a heat pump less than 2 years ago. Dunno how you can trust this company. Go with someone else.Review from Gail E

When water was dripping from my attic to the front porch, I called Washington Energy Services to see if there was a problem with the furnace. *************************** came out today. In a courteous and friendly manner, he explained that it was normal condensation. To my relief, there is no problem. Since he didn't have to go up and check or make repairs, he didn't charge me! I have had great service from ***.Review from Ms Nina G M

Stay away. Left us without heat when our furnace went out in ******* in December for two weeks. We had to call for updates, they said they had to order parts, parts arrived, didn't fix the problem. Three visits over two weeks and no heat. We had to call them to ask for updates, ask for status, etc.We called a competitor - they were at our house in 10 hours - fixed the problem on the spot. Noting that the "problem" diagnosed by the other firm (and their parts) was not the problem. They had all parts on the spot - done in an hour. Do not waste your time with Washington Energy Services. They are a scam and note the extensive negative reviews and complaints all over the internet (I wish my husband had before calling them.)Review from Lynda W

This company does not support customer concerns. I purchased window replacements for my home in 2016. In 2019, I noticed what looked like leakage from the window. I called my *** service rep. Who told me that caulking is the customers responsibility. I had no knowledge whether it was leakage due to installation or caulking. He refused to come to inspect, so nothing got done. Later, I contacted a contractor who has worked in my community. He came and said it was leakage and there was rotting around the windows. The windows were installed 1/8 - 1/4 into the framing, which could account for the rotted wood. He repaired several windows, costing nearly $4000. This fall (2023), I noticed 2 dried wet streams from below the window. I contacted the contractor who stated the my living room windows do not have weeper holes on any of the windows. There are also noticeable gaps in the trim pieces around the glass panes. Since there is no way for water to drain via weeper holes, and the external side of the windows was repaired, the next option to drain is via internal spaces. My contractor checked the external work previously repaired and said he didnt find any problems there. The internal leakage is probably due to no weeper holes for drainage. Having received no support from *** regarding the initial leaks and involving the contractor for repairs was my hope in resolving. However, my contractor refused to do any repairs now, saying *** needs to replace these windows. So now Im hoping they will respond to my need for this replacementReview from Darryl F

They came out 12/1 to provide a quote for my plumbing issues, as of 12/4 no quote was given, I called the office and was assured someone would call me to follow up and also made an appointment to have my furnace serviced,as of 12/6 no one called me,I called the office again and canceled my furnace service appointment and would find another company to manager my furnace maintenance and would find another plumber.Review from Lynette S

When our air-conditioner stopped working in the late afternoon on a very very hot day, I called Washington Energy. We are seniors and this was an emergency! We were sent a technician within an hour to our home. His name was Auburn. He was great, fixed our air-conditioner and checked on us the next day to make sure we were ok. I can't say enough about this company! If anything I would give them 10 stars!!!!!!--Granny *******Review from Dino D

We needed a new gas water heater replaced in our home. There was an issue with the prior appliance being installed against code! 20 years ago! Fixing that issue created a real problem in how to route the venting ducting. Another company had come out earlier and said the fix would cost thousands of dollars in re-routing duct work and even had us punching several holes through the garage wall into our backyard. We were told that the only cheaper alternative would be to have a non reputable company install without getting the required permit. In other words, against code.*** came out and they saw the same issue right away. However, **** A and ********** looked carefully and decided they could do a simple re-route of the ducting and they proceeded to do so. It actually looked better than before and they didnt charge a ***** more than the quoted price for a new water heater! They spent much more time than a routine install but the end result was nothing short of excellent. From now on *** will be the way we go for any of our heating or cooling systems needs.
