On August 1st I bought a 2001 beetle and the next day the engine light came on. I called the dealer that day and they told me to bring it by and they could run the codes. I took it back the next evening where we tried to talk about the issue and they told me that i could leave it there for their shop to look at it later in the week. I decided to not leave it there and he told me to text him the next day to set up a time to bring it by for their shop to get it in because they were backed up. I took it to a shop of my own first to see what the problem was (for comparison) then I messaged them and I never got a response. I then called the next day same thing. Fast forward to September 18th, My daughter was driving on the freeway when it started smoking bad. She pulled over and there was LOTS of fluid running out of it while smoke was coming out of under the hood. I had it towed to M and N Absolute Auto Repair so they could look at it the next day. I got a call the following evening about what was going on with it. They needed to replace the water pump, timing belt, tensioner. the transmission harness was shorting out and needed to be replaced. Among other smaller things. My friend tried calling the dealership several times and got the runaround from them and they never called her back. She has also sent several emails to them without a response. Wed authorized the repairs as my daughter needs aa way to get to and from school. The auto shop calls us when they're done with the repairs and lets us know that the head gasket is blown. I called the dealership the next day to let them know what is going on and see what they're going to do to help with the situation. They proceeded to tell me that the owner would call me back on Monday 10/4 which they never did. My daughter called them the next day to talk to the owner and was informed that he had went out of state and would call her back.
