      Gary's Olympia Auto Service charged me $651.11 for fixing a misfire, spark plugs plus $89.81 for an oil change. Since I drove the car (XTerra '05) to the shop, I stated it was shaking when idle and a weird sound coming from somewhere around the engine. They said they will use their scanner, find the issue and give me a call to let me know the cost to fix it. I always stated that I will only approve any repairs I can afford. They say "no worries" you car will be "fine". Well, they day I picked it up, halfway home from the shop, I called ****** and let them know the service engine light was on and off and the weird sound and lack of power were still there and very evident. They asked me to keep test driving and bring it back to the shop the next day or when my other was ready for pick up (my other car was there for a tune up). Well, the car broke down while test driving it around downtown ****** that same night, this time the car was not drivable, it had to be towed home. I called ****** the next day and demanded to get my car to be looked at and fixed as they promised the first time.They took the car, got towed one more time. Now they are telling me it needs a new engine because they found aluminum in the oil/gas. They dared giving me an estimate: $ **** dollars. They swear the car was perfect and never heard that "weird sound coming from the engine or any lack of power". I said no way I will pay/can't afford that cost, and demanded my car back. Now they won't let the car out until I pay close to $500 dollars for "more diagnostic work". I never accepted to be charged for more work, I demanded from them to make up for their faulty repairs. They told me this is my "problem" not theirs. There is not accountability from their part. I really need help here, please.
