            I told the owner **************** that I didn't approve expenses for landscaping and cleaning of my home. I was charged for these expenses anyways. I told the owner several times to refund me these charges. He has refused. His company has also conducted several maintenance items throughout my home and has refused to provide me with a detailed accounting of the services.

            It's pretty unfortunate they manage so many properties in my area because I will never rent from them again. Like so many others have said, they will keep all your deposit and you will have to fight. The things they charge you for on a place that is almost 50 years old and never been updated, except for maybe some carpeting and paint, is ridiculous. I also wish I could have paid rent the same way they are returning my deposit, over a 7 month span. Ended ** in small claims where I was awarded more money and still have not received that check. My suggestion would be to not do anything when you move out. ********* up and leave and let them keep the deposit because they will anyway and then you can save yourself a 7 month battle. Would have been less stressful to not clean for weeks and pay MORE out of pocket for cleaning services just to have them charge you for the same services.
