We initially had our floors repaired and installed in August 2022. When they came out there were gaps in the floor, and they told us that was fine. Over the next few months the floors started to buckle. We called and spoke with **** at McCrorie flooring he came out in October 2023 and evaluated and told us he would get back to us, he told us they would check if it was install or a warranty issue due to flooring issue. Over a month went by and another person came by and said they would get back to us. January 10th they sent an investigator, he took pictures. We contacted **** on January 24th and he checked his email that the inspector had sent the report on the 17th, and "it wasn't that long since he received it." The inspector reported that it was an install issue and it was not a manufacturing issue. Now **** is saying that the flooring is Westera builder's fault for a faulty foundation and is refusing to fix the flooring issue.

I originally went to the Carpet One in ****** because I've had such great experiences with Carpet One in ******. I ordered *** flooring for two rooms, the living room and a small gardening room. To my surprise, the salesman told me I had to pay 80% upfront. It was over $4,000, but I paid it. When the material arrived, it was lower quality than I had expected and didn't match the other flooring, but this salesman told me basically 'tough luck.' So, I went with it. When the installer arrived, he pulled out the carpet and found low quality particle board that was also 3/5 of an inch below the other flooring in the nearby room. The floor needed an underlay, and honestly a new subfloor. The installer left, and I was in this terrible situation. The low quality particle board was just left open there for 5 days as I begged them to do something. I paid them to just put some carpet back because there was apparently nothing else to do without a major remodel. I figured since the *** didnt work, they'd take it back, and some of the $4,000 could just go to putting the room back the way it was. Carpet One said I owed them money above the $4,000 that I had paid, and that they weren't going to return any of the ***. The *** I paid for to do the living room and also paid for carpeting? I have to pay for unused, unopened *** that couldn't work in the space, and all of the rest of the *** AND for carpet to return the room to its original condition. I've only had the *** for a week! Buyer beware! This is what they are saying - if you buy and pay for flooring, but if it comes in and doesn't work in that space, you lose all of your money and will have to pay to repair the space after they rip up the original flooring and find they can't finish the job. They said, "Well, you're stuck with the flooring, the charges for work never done, and you have to pay to put the room back the way it was." I've never experienced anything like this.
