    On 16 December 2023, ******************************* and his brother approached me offering to do estimates to cut trees surrounding our property. The estimate was for the amount of $2500 to cut 4 trees. I counter offered $2600 cash to add one additional tree. On 15Mar2024, he came to see me to inform me of two weeks delay due equipment issues and, to ask for 20% down to do the job. I handed him $500 cash and asked him to give me a handwritten note to verify the transaction that occurred. More than 3 weeks and numerous phone calls and messages, no response or, acknowledgement of any kind. Each call I get the voice message; "the person you are calling is not able to answer at this time", which leaves me the inability to leave phone messages. ****** search reveals legitimacy with a valid website, address, L&I/UBI license number and, registered with the ****************** of ***** and Industries. Queries within the department reveals the business license to be valid. Business is not registered with BBB. ******************************* and his brother may be running either a legitimate business or, an elaborate scam. I am out of $500 and hope that no one else get victimized.
