I called CRAWL PROS. **** provided a quote and statement of work to remove old insulation and replace with new and this included removing debris and rodent f**** and got the 50% down payment to lock the price in but was hands off from then on. They did not do all the work they agreed to do or repair the damage to the house they cause. It has been one a year and no replies. I can only hope they are out of business, yet they kept my **** card information and took the other 50% without my permission even when they never finished the work. As a side note one needs to speak Spanish to communicate with the workers, but even then they will not listen to your concerns.

I originally posted a favorable review of Crawl Pros although I thought that $4K was a little high for 3 men 5 hours work. But after I was told that my warranty was voided because I didn't want to extend their rather costly ***************** after only two months, that I decided that I rescind that review and warn other prospective customers to avoid this company due to their useless and might I add unethical warranty.

      Hello *****,

Your comments make it clear that we must have done a poor job communicating our services to you. The following should help clear things up and we are so sorry if this hadn't been properly explained from the beginning:

Our insulation work is still covered by our perfect lifetime warranty. If there should be found any defects in our workmanship, we'll always be happy to come back out and make things right. There is no fee for that coverage.

After performing the work on your contract, since we also happen to have a pest control division, we provide a unique option of also maintaining protection against damage to the insulation by rodents. Even though our installation will stand the test of time, outside forces such as Rats & **** will continue to make attempts to create or find ways back into the crawlspace. If those critters were to make there way back in the crawlspace and cause damage to the insulation, this would in no way reflect on the quality of our workmanship in much the same way if water or fire damaged your insulation it does not reflect poor workmanship. These are essentially outside forces of acts of nature.

Rodent biology demands ongoing evaluation and service to reduce the chances of having this kind of damage happen. We are so proud of our rodent services that we are willing cover any damage they might cause to the insulation if a customer so chooses to maintain the ongoing pest service. Since this is an ongoing service and distinct from the insulation work, by necessity it is a separate service that requires separate fees. As an added bonus we also provide coverage for ants, wasps, and other pesky insects.

This information should clarify that you do in fact still have our perfect lifetime warranty on our workmanship, but that the rodent damage to insulation warranty is a distinctly different service option.

Again, we are very sorry if this wasn't clear from the beginning but we are glad you were happy with the insulation work, which was the main purpose of our visit.

I would not recommend this company. I had service rendered on 21-22Nov2021 for Mold Remediation and Attic Insulation. A complaint is being filed to report the poor customer service, failure to meet our individual needs, and lack of professionalism of the company staff. This complaint is to reverberate and reiterate the important issues we experienced:1) communication unbearingly diffcult/impossible due to the field workers being non-English speaking. Homeowner failed to ask questions, make suggestions, or communicate concerns, and unable to identify who the installation leader was. Company president refused to acknowledge the importance of this issue, even accusing the client to be a "racist who dislikes non-English speaking Hispanics". 2) The Project Estimator miscalculated the number of days needed to complete the project, had to adjust our work schedule to accommodate the need to be home while the project continued. Delay was due to the faulty machine used in vacuuming out the old insulation, hence took 2 days to clear the attic of old insulation. Re-scheduled date for the completion of the project to apply the insulation material was done after a week, leaving us with no heat during the waiting time. The President refused to take responsibility and lacked empathy to the inconvenience we suffered, giving the excuse that "He had no control of the delay due to the kind of old insulation material used in the attic and presence of moisture; that he lost profit/revenue for that extra one-day of work". The Estimator should had taken into consideration in coming up with the estimate and duration of the job completion - the size and age of the home, results or findings of his attic inspection (mold ****-up, rodents in insulation).

      Hello ********,

As you experienced, there are many variables that cannot be foreseen, even by a seasoned estimator that can impact the overall time and resources it takes to complete work properly. In this case, not only did the insulation have added factors to slow things down, but also, as it happened, one of pieces of equipment important to the job at hand, decided to break down. We also would have much preferred these things to not have happened and we work hard to avoid these delays. In this case, it just did not work out as planned, and for that we do apologize for any inconvenience this caused.

In the end, we are at least glad the project was completed properly and you have been able to reap the benefits of greater energy efficiency.

Thank you ******** for giving us feedback on where we can improve

I would not recommend this company. We initially had them come evaluate under our house for a dead rodent. They sent a well spoken and seemingly knowledgable sales person who after going under our house discovered our sump pump had stopped working. A bid was written up and we agreed and signed the contract. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. I did not read the fine print that they take your credit card and charge you when they decide the job has been completed. It will then be your responsibility to chase them until the work has actually been completed. We have had to have them back three times to do the work that was in the contract. The last time after having an independent contractor assess the contract that they created and we signed vs the work that had or had not been completed. I am still not done as I have the contractor coming back to evaluate once again to ensure the work has been done. This independent contractor even had to take pictures and detail for Crawl Pros what needed to be done to complete the job. Keep in mind their price quotes are much higher than others. Some of the items that were listed in the contract that I have had to chase them to complete are the following: Correct installation of new sump pump (took two visits and instructions from outside contractor), Clean up of rodent debris, removal and replacement of effected insulation, and replacement of vapor layer. As others have pointed out, there are other companies with much better prices.

Hello ***** - This certainly was an unfortunate set of events. I am glad we were able to eventually resolve the Sump Pump concerns, which is a commitment we make to all our customers. We even did some extra work to clean-up rodent debris even though this was not part of our service agreement. The multiple visits were a product of trying to make things right but the unintended side effect was a level of inconvenience on your end. Rest assured, had it been possible, we would have also preferred to reduced the number of visits it took to get things squared away.

Thanks again for your patience during this process *****
