This business has been calling but refuses to identify themselves as a debt collector. Federal law requires them to do so. In an illegal Attempt to collect the debt Im asking them to return the debt to the originator or delete the debt or I will have to press charges for their violationBusiness response

Claiming 2017 when payments stop 2019 and could not occur as normal due to the pandemic. Made payments during the pandemic and up till mid 23 when we could & have been recovering from the pandemic financially. I contacted about payments during these times! Now they called, yelled at me on the phone when i said we can start making payments again in a month or two. Was told that was too long and they will get lawyers . Did not attempt to make any agreements with me. Very rude and insulting!Business response

This debit was processed over 7 yrs ago in a chapter 11, I've been paying on it,but I contacted our state legislator that said this is past the yrs that they can collect this,I've tried to login to talk to someone and it will not except any new passwords they are requesting, frustratedBusiness response

I received a collection notice from Merchants Credit Association in February 2023 for a service in July 2020 that had been previously paid in 2021, and I had received no further communication after this point. The notice included incurred interest, again on a balance that had been previously paid and resolved nearly two years ago. When calling to dispute the representative was combative and argued with me. When explaining the charge was inaccurate she claimed I had only made a partial payment and she doesn't know why I would have done that, and would not accept that I made a payment with a representative based on the information at the time. When expressing my concern over the incurred interest when I was not aware I had an outstanding payment (that I am disputing) and had not received any communication two years she told me it was my fault that I had not followed up, and spoke over me when I explained I understood the issue was resolved and had no idea a payment was due after two years.Business response

MCA has been discussing my medical procedures with my spouse which is a direct violation of my HIPPA rights. ************** has also threatened me claiming she will "be turning over my bill", new law states I have one year to pay medical debt.Effective July 1, 2022, unpaid medical bills cannot be reported until they are at least 365 days past the date of first delinquency.MCA should not be contacting my spouse regarding MY medical debt and I do not want them to seek further contact with me.Business response
