I got a letter saying they are garnishing my paycheck so I called 8/23/22 and paid the amount in full, that was over DOUBLE the amount of the original bill. This company will not work with you as "We don't work with you because we don't have to". I get paid every week and figured it would take a week or 2 but I am now on my 4th check being garnished. When I call I basically get told they don't care. My company has not gotten notice to stop the garnishment and I have a bad feeling they are not going to get it, and I will never see my money back from my paycheck even though I paid ,Double the amount, back to me. Calling them does no good as the people are beyond rude and just tell you, you are a looser and not their problem. I have worked hard over the last few years cleaning up my credit report and EVERY one of the people that were on my credit report worked with me on the amount and was able to pay all of them off. This company does not post to your credit report and do not send mail until they are suing you, and then don't work with you. They do not send the mail saying they are suing you till they see you got an inheritance of some kind, as that is when I got sued and this is over medical bill.Business response

I received a collection notice in the mail from Merchants Credit Association stating this was an attempt to collect a debt. The letter did not have a date. I called the business and was told that they are not authorized to speak to me about my account. They said I would have to get permission from my attorney. I thought it was backwards that my attorney had to give me permission to speak on my account when it should be the other way around.My attorney's office faxed them a letter on 7/13/22 giving them permission to speak to me. I called Life Flight on 7/12/22 and was told that they received correspondence from *** requesting for my account to be pulled from collections. The *** **** ***************** had no idea what I was talking about. She also told me that I was sent to collections in June.My complaints:1. I created an account on the website to view my account details but nothing happened. There is an issue with their website. Just seems like a ploy to obtain personal identifying information from us.2. There is no date on the collection notice so how would anyone know how long they've been in collections or when they were sent?3. If this is my account, I shouldn't have to obtain permission from my attorney to discuss my account. Life Flight was the one who sent the information over to them and Life Flight still spoke to me about my account. One other account related to this accident was sent to collections and I was able to discuss my account with them.4. On their letter, it states they accept disputes electronically but I didn't see a link or place to do so on the website.5. My name on the letter has a middle initial but I do not have a middle name.6. When asked when this debt will be reported to the credit bureaus, I was told "I don't know".Business response

I am rejecting this response because there is no need for me to sign a consent for MCA to release any information about my accident in order to address my complaint. All of the complaints are regarding their collection practices and work flows. There is no need for a release of info to be signed because the BBB is not requesting any info related to my ****. They still need to address the 6 points of the complaint below:My complaints: 1. I created an account on the website to view my account details but nothing happened. MCA of ******** ** is trying to collect double ************pays from me. They keep ignoring my requests to deal with Lexington Law Firm.I am disabled and over 60. MCAs violating Federal Law by contacting an elderly disabled person in an attempt to falsely collect ******** funds. They are trying to scam me. I'm currently trying to get ahold of this company and everytime I try to contact them it goes straight to voicemail instead of leading me to an agent. I can't make payments with the phone bot because I don't have my account number, and I've left a message and they won't respond. I would either like them to get rid of the accounts or call me back so we can resolve this immediately.Business response

I answered the call **** on 8/23/21. The woman I spoke to was aggressive. When I asked her which companies I had debts with and how much she denied and just said the names stating it adds up to $180 and she needs to know when I am going to pay that. I let her know that I have NOT received anything from her company that stated I owe these debts, let alone statements from the stated companies. She told me I had received many mailings dating back years, which is false. I know for a fact one of the companies I had to call and find out the total and I could only afford half. I never saw a **** from them. I asked she mail me proof of these debts and she declined again stating that they had been mailing them to me. She again very rudely stated now when are you going to pay these debts. I again asked for proof and she continued with we are passed that point now. I let her know that she needs to send me proof of my debts, dates, other payments of the debts. She declined again.Business response

On 11/08/2017 *********************************** turned over a **** for $1226.00 to Merchants Credit Services for collection . I received a notice to contact them for payment . I set up a payment agreement with them starting 11/24/2017 and has of 8/06/2021 have made 46 payments which total $865.00 .....$1226.00-$865.00 =$361.00 By my math ! They say I owe $701.00 ?????????Business response
