      I am worried about customers coming into the ********************** and not being told about the price of services. I was quoted $120 for a color treatment but when I went to check out, my bill was for $276. I was charged another $109 for a hair cut. The cut was done by a different person. When I asked about the charge for the color treatment, they told me that this is an experienced stylist and this is what she charges. This is outrageous. I have a college degree in education and 25 years of experience. I would not feel comfortable charging a parent $276 an hour for tutoring. I think this salon needs to be upfront about their charges.

      ****** walked in and had a consultation for a color and during the consultation it was determined she needed a Partial Foil and Color and ****** asked to add a Haircut. ***** was never quoted during this consultation. ****** never asked about the price and price was never quoted. ****** paid for her service, left the Salon and came back in to talk to the ** of the location. ****** told the ** that she could not afford the bill on a teacher's salary. ****** asked the ** if she knew what a teacher made, the ** did not, and ****** told her. The ** said she already had the services, and she was unable to refund or adjust the price because the services were already received. The ** asked ****** if she asked about the price prior to starting the service or asked to be in a specific price range and ****** said no. Our prices are not posted in the Salon as our artists charge different prices and are pricing different levels depending on who you see. Online on prices are listed as starting at..... and if you schedule an appointment online or on the phone you will receive a price quote and a confirmation email/confirmation text including the price. When in-person we typically do not discuss prices unless the guest asks what the price is or unless we are changing an already scheduled service to a new service then we let the guest know if the price will be different. ****** was a first-time walk-in guest, and ***** was never quoted, and ***** was never discussed, a specific price category was never requested before the services were provided.

      I worked for this company for 12 1/2 years, and then 2+ years ago they laid me off along with everyone else in my field who worked for the company. Giving all us barely 3 weeks notice mind you. But its been over 2 years, and I just went to book my first appointment since with the 1 person who has done my hair for over 10 years. And not only did they cancel my appointment, but they locked me out of their app making so I cant book AND their corporate office called me and left a message saying that Im discontinued because I used to work there. Mind you I can think of 6 ex employees who still go there for services, but yet Im not allowed to book. I can go to another location apparently but not South Hill. So why am I the only 1 being discontinued? Watch out for this company and location they totally discriminate against who they like and dont. I havent even ever had 1 appointment with them and Im blacklisted. This company has some serious issues. DO NOT book with **** (a colorist) shes a drug ************* popper, she talks trash about all her clients. A lot of them do. But obviously they will make whatever excuse they want so they dont have to do your hair.

      *************************** is a former employee and she was laid off when we stopped offering ******* services in all of our Salon and Spa locations. ***** is not discontinued from having services in all Gene ********************** Salon locations, just the South Hill Salon location. I did leave ***** a VM and I followed up with an email which I have included:  ***********, I apologize but I am not back into the office until Monday to personally talk with you. I have removed the online booking block it was put in place only until I was sure you received my VM. You are not banned from Gene Juarez Salons , you are welcome to visit any location other than the South ********* location. This can be common practice with former employees, X partners, X family members and so on. If you have any additional questions please just let me know. Sincerely, ***************    As you can see from ******* complaint, she is not welcome to return to the SouthHill Salon location but she is welcome to have services in any other Gene ********************** Salon Location.   Sincerely, *******
