**** and his crew were hired for a complex backyard renovation, exceeding $100,000 in total fees. The renovation included a significant amount of demolition, concrete work, landscaping and turf installation. While many issues arose throughout the course of this comprehensive work, the permanent problems were tied to the concrete slab and the turf installation. The concrete slab was poured in a manner that there is a significant dip in the slab right in front of our grill and refrigerator resulting in puddling of water greater than 1/4" in depth following just about any rainfall. The turf installation was more egregious. **** purposefully installed the turf with a 2" gap between the seams. I questioned this at the time and he indicated that this was his call to avoid what he called the "mohawk" effect that can occur when seams are butted up next to each other, indicating that the turf will "fill in" as it expands after it is installed. This never happened and when I called the manufacturer of the turf, they stated that the "gaps are concerning" and are not how the installation is recommended for their brand of turf. **** came back to inspect the turf months after installation and indicated that he and his crew would return to fix the turf. They returned weeks later to attempt to move the turf and close the seams. The end result was unprofessional changes to the landscaping and seams that were closer together (and in some cases overlapping) with clue applied carelessly. Lastly, his team pulled up all of the nails in some areas, leaving our turf unsecured and in a dangerous condition and then never returned or responded to our texts or emails.
